According to Article 7 of the Credit Card Charter of China Merchants Bank (Ninth Edition):

China residents who have reached the age of 18 and have full capacity for civil conduct and good credit standing, foreigners with full capacity for civil conduct and compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan with full capacity for civil conduct can apply for personal credit card master cards with their valid identity documents.

The applicant shall provide accurate, complete, true and effective information to the card issuer, and the application information without name or identity document information is invalid. If the card issuer deems it necessary, the applicant shall provide the qualified letter of guarantee and other relevant materials to the card issuer.

According to Article 10 of the Credit Card Charter of China Merchants Bank (Ninth Edition):

If the cardholder or guarantor changes his work unit, mailing address, telephone number, e-mail, identity document information and organization name, he/she shall go to the card issuer or contact the card issuer to handle the information change formalities in time. Otherwise, the losses caused thereby shall be borne by the cardholder.

Cardholders should properly keep their credit cards, card numbers, expiration dates, digital information in the signature column on the back of the cards, passwords and SMS verification codes. If the credit card, related card information, password or SMS verification code are improperly kept, the cardholder shall bear the losses.
