(1) General physical examination:

1. Past history: history of disease, drug abuse, mental illness, surgical trauma, etc.;

According to the "Shanghai Prison Administration Regulations on the Physical Examination of Newly Admitted Prisoners", newly admitted prisoners will be dealt with according to different circumstances after their physical examination:

(1) Those who are suffering from serious diseases and meet the conditions for medical parole, pregnant or lactating women, and criminals who are suffering from serious diseases and whose circumstances are unknown shall not be admitted to prison temporarily in accordance with the provisions of the law.

(2) Disability, trauma and other conditions discovered during the examination should be described objectively and signed by the criminal himself for confirmation.

(3) Criminals whose diseases are discovered through physical examination should be given active treatment. Criminals diagnosed with viral hepatitis, tuberculosis, sexually transmitted diseases and other infectious diseases should be registered and tracked while being treated, and corresponding isolation and disinfection work should be done.

(4) Sick and disabled prisoners discovered through physical examination must be identified and approved in strict accordance with regulations.

(5) Each examination should be signed by the examining doctor, and the examining doctor should make a comprehensive evaluation opinion.

(6) The newly admitted physical examination unit shall formulate a comprehensive assessment report on the physical health status of the criminal based on the examination results and evaluation opinions.
