1, Ashes of Time is a martial arts film directed by Wong Kar-wai, directed by Sammo Hung and starring Leslie Cheung, Brigitte Lin, Tony Leung Ka Fai, Maggie Cheung, Tony Leung Chiu Wai, Carina Lau, Jacky Cheung and Yang Caini. It was released in Hongkong, China on September 1994. The film is adapted from Jin Yong's novel The Legend of the Condor Heroes, and tells the stories of Ouyang Feng, Huang, Sister-in-law and others. 1995, the film won the Best Photography of 5 1 Venice International Film Festival, and the Best Film Award of 1 Hong Kong Film Critics Association. Leslie Cheung, the leading actor, won the 1 Hong Kong Film Critics Association Award for Best Actor for this film. On March 27th, 2009, Xi Du: The Ultimate Edition was released in China.

2. Ouyang Feng (Leslie Cheung) runs away from home on his brother's wedding day, because eldest sister-in-law (Maggie Cheung) is his favorite woman. He lives in seclusion in a desert town, runs a hotel and works to find killers for others. Huang (Tony Leung Ka Fai), a romantic swordsman, is a good friend of Ouyang Feng and has a drink with Ouyang Feng every year. He has a crush on his best friend's wife, Peach Blossom (Carina Lau), and also has a crush on Ouyang Feng's eldest sister-in-law. Murong Yan (Brigitte Lin) loves Huang deeply because of his drunken remarks, but her heart is broken because she can't get the sincerity of her lover. She imagines herself as Murong Yan and asks Ouyang Feng to kill Huang Shiyou, but she can't be cruel.

3. The blind soldier (Tony Leung Chiu Wai) is Taohua's husband. Knowing that his wife was in love with someone else, he wandered around the world. He just wanted to see his wife again before he went blind, but he was finally killed by a horse thief. Hong Qi (Jacky Cheung), a swordsman, killed an enemy for an orphan girl (Yang Caini) and got only one egg. Finally, he took his wife to wander the rivers and lakes. Hong Qi let Ouyang Feng know that everything can be so simple. After learning of her husband's death, Peach Blossom left Huang forever.

4. Before her sister-in-law died, Huang brought Ouyang Feng an altar of drunken dreams. Huang and Ouyang Feng drank "Let Life Be Drunken" together. Huang forgot everything, but Ouyang Feng remembered it more clearly.
