Methods/steps:

1. Create a new file with a custom size. First, use the lasso tool to draw an irregular seal selection. If the shape is not satisfactory, you can redraw it directly until you are satisfied. After the selection is drawn, set its fill color, as shown in the figure below. Here Bian Xiao chooses to fill a little darker red, and Ctrl+D cancels the selection.

2. Add variegated texture to the seal, press the V key to convert the lasso tool into a moving tool, and drag the variegated texture material to the working area of the seal, and adjust its size to cover the seal part. We named this layer "Texture Layer", and Ctrl+L called up the color scale panel. As shown in the figure below, we moved the shadow slider and highlight slider to the middle to increase the contrast between light and dark.

3. Enter the channel, select the red channel (any one of the three channels is ok, we just extract the irregular mottled selection through the channel), click the first button under the channel panel, that is, the button with the dotted circle symbol, and load the channel as the selection.

4. Click the RGB channel, return to the layers panel, hide the "texture" layer, select the seal layer, press Delter to delete, and Ctrl+D to deselect it, as shown in the figure below, so that we can get the mottled effect of the seal.

5. If we feel that the texture is not enough, we can repeat the previous step, as shown in the figure below. Select the "Texture" layer, light up the small eyes in front of the layer, use the moving tool to adjust the position of the texture image (so that we can avoid extracting the repeated mottled texture), enter the channel, select a channel, load the selection, click the RGB channel, return to the layers panel, hide the texture layer, select the seal layer, delete it with DELETE, and then click the RGB channel.

6. Of course, we can also use the Eraser Tool to create mottled effects. Click "Eraser Tool", select a brush with irregular shape, adjust the size, and click the eraser on the seal at will to produce mottled effect (brushes with different shapes can be replaced during this period).

7. After the mottled texture is done, you can enter the text in the next step. Click on "Text Tools", select "Fangzheng Xiaozhuan Style" and enter the words "Chinese Style", one for each layer, which is convenient for us to adjust later. Use the moving tool to adjust the position of the text, as shown in the figure below, so that the text can fit the edge of the seal as much as possible, and adjust the size and position of the text according to the size and shape of the seal.

After the text is adjusted, hold down the Shift key, select three text layers at the same time, and press Ctrl+E to merge the layers. As shown in the figure below, hold down the ctrl key and click the text layer thumbnail to bring up the text selection, select the seal layer, delete, and Ctrl+D to cancel the selection.

9. Hide the Text layer and the Background layer, as shown in the figure below. This is our seal made of negative film. Select "Edit-Define Brush Preset", as shown in the figure below.
