1. If you and your father are in the same household registration book, you can go directly to the police station (archives department) where the household registration book address belongs.
2. If you and your father have never been in the same household registration book, and the head of household is never your father, you can go to the place where you manage the personnel files, inquire about the contents related to the father-son relationship (such as the graduation registration form of college students), and make a copy and let the hosting unit stamp it. There is a relationship column on the account of the local police station, and the information of family members filled in can also be found in the file. Personnel files are not established until after high school. You can check the location of your file from the original file.
3. If you were born before the establishment of the CDC, you can only go to the hospital where you were born to issue a mother-child/mother-daughter certificate, and then prove the father-child/father-daughter relationship through your parents' marriage certificate. Relevant policies stipulate that according to the current household registration management policy, if the household registration information can show the proof of kinship, the police station can issue the proof of kinship.
Legal basis: Civil Code of People's Republic of China (PRC).
