1. First of all, you need an admission notice recognized by an Indian university. This means that you may need to take the entrance exam first.
2. The student visa only allows students to get special permission to change their courses or universities at FRRO.
As part of the application, the details of the course and the place of study must be included. If the admission notice cannot be obtained, a temporary student visa will be issued. However, it must be confirmed within three months, otherwise the applicant will not be allowed to stay in India.
Applicants must submit supporting documents, including a valid passport valid for at least six months and two blank pages.
5. Applicants for admission to medical research must obtain a letter of approval or a certificate of no objection issued by the Ministry of Health of India.
6. Applicants from India University of Engineering and Technology must obtain similar certification from the Ministry of Education.
7. Student visas cannot be tourist visas or other types of visas.
8. The issuance time of student visas is generally 180 days or more. Applicants should register with the local ERRO (Aliens Administration Bureau) within 14 days.

US citizen-1 year (12 months)-Multiple entry visa-102.70 USD.
British citizen-1 year (12 months)-multiple entry visa-$236.70.
Other citizens-1 year (12 months)-multiple entry visa-$82.70.
The Indian government stipulates that all international students applying for an Indian student visa must undergo a medical examination and obtain a medical and health certificate. Students also need to be tested for HIV, and if they are positive, they are not allowed to enter school. You also need to pay 50 dollars for medical expenses, including the first year of insurance. If you have an OCI card, you can study, work or do research in India without a student visa.
