1, kennels, pet shops, stalls, etc.
This kind of place is mixed with fish and dragons, and the environment is poor. Teddy puppies are collected from other places, weaned early, with poor constitution and easy to get sick.
2. Domestication.
Generally, a few dogs are kept at home, and bitches can breed only when they have special needs. Generally, dogs only mate 1-2 times in their life. Bitches and puppies are carefully cared for, breastfed, weaned late, have strong immunity, are rich in nutrition and are full of body fat.
Precautions are as follows:
1. Choose a good seller and visit the dog with friends to observe the environment. It's best to meet the dog's parents and determine whether the dog is pure.
Generally, puppies can be taken home when they are two months old. Remember to ask the seller to return the goods within 2-3 weeks. If the dog has mild symptoms of canine distemper within 2-3 weeks, such as vomiting and diarrhea, listlessness and loss of appetite, and it is proved that it can't be saved after treatment in the pet hospital, the seller should fully refund or share the treatment costs.
3. The selection method of healthy Teddy dogs is as follows:
(1) nose. A healthy dog's nose should be cold and moist except when sleeping, otherwise it may have diseases (such as fever).
Attention should also be paid to the melanin precipitation in the nose. The darker the nose, the better. (2) eyes. Healthy dogs' eyes should be bright, and there are no secretions such as gums.
Teddy's eyes are almond-shaped, small and prominent. He usually has lacrimal glands in the inner corner of his eyes. The lacrimal gland of 2-3 months old puppies is generally not very serious, as long as the eyes are clean and cleaned frequently in the future.
(3) ears. The ears of healthy dogs are clean and free of dust. If there is something wrong with the ear, touch the dog's ear with your hand or gently massage the auricle. Dogs will dodge or bark, and open the ear canal to observe. There will be brown dirt in the ear canal.
(4) excreta. If you are lucky enough to see dog feces, then observe that the feces of healthy dogs are beautiful, shaped and moderately hard; On the contrary, it is diarrhea, and what is more serious is the smell of blood.
(5) anus. If the dog has loose bowels, and the seller doesn't make superficial efforts, there will be excrement residue around the anus of the sick dog after loose bowels, which sticks to the hair and is very dirty; A healthy dog and a well-cared seller should have a clean anus around the dog.
(6) soles of feet. The soles of healthy dogs should be soft and elastic, not hard and dry.
(7) body temperature. If you are not at ease, you can ask the seller to take the dog's temperature on the spot, usually rectal measurement (chrysanthemum method):
Small dogs: puppies 38.5-39 degrees Celsius, adult dogs 38-39 degrees Celsius;
Medium-sized dogs: puppies 38.5-39 degrees Celsius, adult dogs 38-38.5 degrees Celsius;
Large dogs: puppies 38.2-39 degrees Celsius, adult dogs 37.5-38 degrees Celsius.
(8) spirit. Healthy puppies are lively and naughty, not listless.
(9) appetite. Generally, healthy puppies eat whatever they are given, and even dog food is very enjoyable; Adult dogs are not interested in dog food. Usually, the food to measure their appetite is chicken. The sick dog hardly responds to food.
(10) fur. The skin is clean, without dandruff, black spots, erythema, papules, scabs and scars; Hair is clean and shiny, and there is no irregularity or abnormal hair loss. Otherwise, it is considered a skin disease.
(1 1) tooth. Observing teeth is the most commonly used method to identify the age of dogs. Puppies' teeth are usually very small two months ago, and they begin to change their teeth around three months.
