About the destroyer Snow Wind.
Yukikaze (ゆきかぜぜ, Yukikaze) was a Japanese destroyer built in old imperial japanese navy during World War II. /kloc-0 started construction in August, 1938, and was launched on March 24th of the following year. 1940/kloc-0 was completed in Sasebo Naval Factory on October 20th.
The destroyer Snow Wind is famous all over the world for its strange luck. She participated in almost all fierce battles in the Pacific War, including Midway Island, Santa Cruz Islands, Guadalcanal Island, Bismarck Sea, Kelon Bangala Night Battle, Philippine Sea, Sibuyan Sea, Sama Island and Kikushui Special Attack. Every time, she was able to get away with it until the end of World War II, except for all class A destroyers, including the burning sun class and the Yun Xi class.
Because of the legendary record of the destroyer Xuefeng, she is called the miracle destroyer in Japan. It is also known as the Snow Wind destroyer Wu Zhi's polluted lotus and sasebo's rain. But Wu and sasebo are not so lucky. Why? Because Wu is in Hiroshima and sasebo is in Nagasaki. ......

After Japan's defeat and surrender, the destroyer Xuefeng was handed over to the Republic of China as compensation on July 6, 1947, and changed its name to Danyang on May 1 day of the following year, numbered DD- 12, and joined the Navy of the Republic of China, once serving as the flagship of the Navy.

There are also two Xuefeng leaves, which are placed in the Third Military University of Taiwan Province Province (ready-made Gongling Military History Park) and the Naval Academy, and a ship clock is placed in the History Museum of the Naval Academy.
