Where to send the letter to Federer?

Author: Scarlett Hujia

If you don’t have the opportunity to get Federer’s autograph in person, there is still another way to get his autograph. Although Federer travels and competes most of the year, he usually signs some postcards when he is free. When he receives letters from fans asking for autographs, his staff will mail them out.

Although I have never written a letter, many fans on the official website of rf.com have sent letters asking for signatures and sharing their experiences. Roger also published a mailing address on the official website, especially Federer. The official website states that do not send him photos, balls, clothes or similar items and ask him to sign them and return them. This is to prevent things from being lost in the mail. (The official website says this:

If

you would like to send me letters, cards or pictures please send them to the

following address.

Please note that articles received by mail (balls,

photos, etc) to be autographed are not accepted and will not be

returned.

Thank you for your mail!

When writing a letter asking for his signature, it is best to write an envelope with your own return address and put it in the letter to him. Just fold your return envelope in half and put it inside. And the return envelope should be at least the size of a postcard. The return address can be written in Chinese, as long as the name of the country is written in English (just write "P.R.China" on the last line). >The letter you send can be simple and polite, and if possible, put a little money in it (fans at rf.com said they will put 1/2 dollar in it for return postage, otherwise it will be regarded as a return postage fee). You can also donate it to his foundation. I don't know if anyone has sent it in RMB, but I believe that I will receive a reply from him even if it doesn't include postage, because Federer has always been known to care about his fans). It usually takes a few weeks or 1-3 months, so be patient.

Here is a sample letter I wrote for you. You can modify it and personalize it before sending it out:

Dear

Roger,

I would really appreciate if you could send me a signed photo of

yours. I am your huge fan - I have always enjoyed your tennis and followed you

closely. Please remember we love you and support you forever no matter what, you

are forever our #1!

May happiness, health and luck be with you and your

loved ones all the time! I wish I would be able to see you play the

beautiful tennis of yours for many years to come!

Many thanks for your time and attention.

Always/Yours truly/Love,

(I have written 3 ways of writing here, just pick one.)

Your name< /p>

Repeat the steps again:

1) Write a brief letter (as above);

2) Write an envelope with your own return address ( This envelope should be at least half the size of ordinary letter paper or the size of a postcard,) and remember to write it all in Chinese (so that after it is sent to China, the China Post will know where to send it), but it must be added with the word "China" in English ( This way the Swiss Post Office knows which country it is being sent to), for example:

"TO: P.R. CHINA" is under your Chinese address;

3) Fold the letter and return envelope Put it in an international envelope and write Federer's address:

4) Go to the post office to affix a stamp and send it out; (When you get to the post office, ask the staff how much postage is needed to send it to Switzerland. Just buy stamps and affix them. According to the milk powder, it will cost about 6 to 7 yuan. )

5) etc. . . :)

6) Continue to wait. . . (Patiently and hopefully, about 1-3 months)

7) Received a letter from Switzerland with a photo signed by Roger himself! ! ! yeah! ! !

^_^

(In the press release "One for All: Federer and His

Fans" issued by Credit Suisse Bank, Federer's father mentioned It is said that although he receives tens of thousands of letters from all over the world asking for Federer's signature every year, Roger insists on not using an automatic signing machine but signing each photo himself, so you can be sure that if you receive an illuminated postcard signed by him, it will be a success. He must have signed it himself! )

Note: The recipient's address is always written in the middle of the envelope on the right, and the sender's address is written in the upper left corner.
