Case Study of Logistics: Anji's "Invisible Sword"
-

From 2006 to 2009, the number of transport vehicles increased from 6,543,800+6,000 to nearly 4 million, accounting for 35% of the whole country in the vehicle logistics market. In terms of business volume, Anji Automobile Logistics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Anji) has entered the first camp of global automobile logistics.

People can see Anji's logistics network all over the country behind Anji's mass leap, but they may not be able to see another sharp weapon of Anji-the Internet of Things supported by information technology, which helps Anji to take the lead in the field of automobile logistics.

What Anji wants is not only the increase of logistics volume, but also the leap of service quality. This leap stands on the invisible sword of the Internet of Things. A few days ago, Mo Jinkang, deputy general manager of Anji Automobile Logistics Co., Ltd., accepted an exclusive interview with this newspaper and pulled out this invisible sword, so that we can get a glimpse of its glory.

Open seven meridians and eight veins

In Mo Jin Kang's view, the development of modern automobile industry can not be separated from the support of informationization and Internet of Things, especially automobile logistics enterprises. In the global competitive environment, future automobile enterprises need the support of efficient logistics network, the integration of logistics network and Internet of Things, and the construction of virtual and real circulation expressway.

The Internet of Things is invisible, but it is everywhere. To realize the integration of Internet of Things and logistics network, it must be based on a perfect information system within the enterprise. Anji's rapid development in recent years has benefited from SAIC's integration and upgrading of logistics business. A great weapon of integration and upgrading is informatization.

At the end of 2008, the logistics department of SAIC's Shanghai Automobile Industry Sales Corporation reorganized its logistics resources and established Anji Automobile Logistics Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary directly under SAIC. The new company is positioned as a third-party logistics company focusing on the automobile market. Anji's logistics model is a market-oriented integrated lean logistics. Therefore, the integration and upgrading of Anji automobile logistics resources is a major issue, and how to get through all links with the information system. As soon as the company was established, the Information Technology Department was set up to explore new information systems. Anji has many business modules, and the upgrade of information system greatly improves the service efficiency, and also twists the related logistics resources into a rope for Anji and implants an interconnected neural network.

Anji also increased the integration of upstream and downstream logistics service industry chain. First, integrate traffic resources. Anji Logistics is the only automobile logistics enterprise in China that has both road, railway and waterway transportation resources and operational capabilities. Self-owned transportation resources include 1 professional ro-ro wharf, 3 inland vessels, 7 sea vessels, 348 special trains and more than 2,700 transport vehicles. Second, integrate business models. After opening up various service links with informationization, Anji strengthened the professional integration of business models and divided the business into three parts. Vehicle logistics is operated by Anji and more than ten vehicle transportation companies, and the base management mode is implemented. Parts logistics is mainly operated by Anji Tiandi, a joint venture with global logistics giant ceva. Port logistics is operated by haitong international Wharf, and haitong international Wharf is a joint venture with Shanghai Port Group, nyk and wwl. Third, integrate warehousing resources. While integrating transportation resources and service processes, Anji also integrated storage resources. Anji has 7 purchase logistics bases, 9 after-sales logistics bases and 22 vehicle storage bases.

Informatization has opened up seven meridians and eight veins of various resources in Anji, and Anji has also established a "six unifications" strategic plan: unified corporate culture, unified lean operation, unified hr system, unified financial system, unified it system and unified procurement system. Guided by lean supply chain services, Anji provides services to nearly 30 main engine plants, 2,000 dealers, 1500 maintenance stations and 600 parts suppliers in 300 cities in China.

Waving an invisible sword

The Internet of Things supported by information technology is not only an invisible weapon to reshape internal control, but also an invisible weapon for Anji to open up the market.

Talking about the application of the Internet of Things in the logistics industry, Mo Jin Kang said: "The concept of the Internet of Things is based on the concept of the Internet. Through information sensing devices such as rfid, infrared sensor, global positioning system and laser scanner, its client is extended to any goods and articles, and its operation process is also a logistics process. In the Internet of Things era, enterprises develop and apply a series of Internet of Things technologies through system integration according to their own characteristics and development needs, so as to improve the resource utilization rate and productivity level of enterprises, prevent the instability brought by business processes, and strengthen the management and control level of enterprises on business processes. "

Anji is committed to the application of Internet of Things technology. Although Anji has made great achievements in informatization and Internet of Things, what Mo Jin Kang is most interested in introducing to reporters is Anji's innovative electronic receipt system for commercial vehicle handover.

Mo Jin Kang said that in the logistics process of commercial vehicles, there are many handover links from the OEM to the users, and there are often many problems when using paper handover methods: First, the handover process is uncontrollable. After the handover is completed, the handover form will be left in the driver's hand and will only be provided when it is settled after returning to the transportation company. The recovery period of the handover table is very long, and there is still the possibility of losing the handover table in this process. Second, the handover system requires dealers to fill in information after handover. This passive way often leads to untimely feedback. Thirdly, a large amount of data will be generated during handover, which will enter our system after recovery, and these handover documents need a lot of manual processing.

In order to solve these problems, Anji explored the application of Internet of Things technology and began to implement the electronic receipt system for commercial vehicle delivery in 2009.

Anji considers that by transferring the information of all commercial vehicles and using the Internet of Things technology, information can be transmitted in time. The handover information of each handover point is mainly collected by hand-held terminal equipment, scanned by rfid, gps and barcode, and transmitted to Anji Management Center through gprs communication network. The management center information is connected with Anji business system, and the order handover status is updated in time. At the same time, Anji timely transmitted the docking information to the main engine factory through the system, so that customers could know the delivery information of commercial vehicles at the first time. These data will enter the data center at the same time, and the data center will do some corresponding data analysis, find some problems and take some corrective measures.

This system is mainly realized by three main functional modules: first, the monitoring of vehicle orders, real-time monitoring of progress and state early warning. By integrating vehicle gps, gis, transport vehicle data and order data, the time and distance progress of each transport vehicle and its order can be monitored in real time, and the real-time status of transport progress of vehicles and orders can be judged through established algorithm rules, so as to give early warning tips to vehicles or orders that are in backward progress. Second, every time the goods are handed over, a unique digital signature is formed, which includes the information of the consignor and the shipper, the information of the goods, the handover time and place, etc. And send it to the automobile logistics enterprises in real time through wireless communication. In order to ensure the accuracy of digital signature information, the digital signature is double verified by gps positioning data of transport vehicles. Thirdly, hand-held mobile electronic equipment integrates barcode scanning function, rfid induction receiving function, gps information receiving function and gprs communication function. Identify whether the transported goods are consistent with the destination by rfid, scan the barcode information of commercial vehicles to confirm the receipt of vehicles, and send the above information and electronic signature to the server of automobile logistics company through gprs for data verification and status update.

Mo Jin Kang said that the implementation of this project may bring certain economic and social benefits.

From the economic benefits of the enterprise, after the implementation of the project, firstly, the labor cost is reduced, and the automatic data collection, integration and update are realized by using the electronic communication and transportation background data integration system. Staff only need to use the system to query as needed, instead of the original manual order entry. The second is to reduce the cost of paper documents, which can reduce the cost of paper documents by more than 3 million yuan every year. The new system completely adopts the automatic analysis and judgment integration of software system, and all information is clear at a glance, which ensures the timeliness and accuracy of information transmission. The resulting dynamic report completely solves the management loopholes caused by data lag and effectively solves the problems such as query difficulties. The third is to realize timely error correction. In the past, when manual operation was used, there were many mistakes caused by human factors. The new system uses electronic equipment and systems to automatically judge the handover data, which avoids the risk of human error to the maximum extent. Once the problem that does not conform to the instruction is found, the relevant personnel can be informed in time to correct the error in the shortest time and avoid economic losses. The fourth is to improve user satisfaction. After adopting automatic identification technology, the system overcomes the data problems caused by the mobility of logistics operations to the maximum extent, so that the data can be timely and accurate. The system can connect the reported information with the existing transportation management system, warehouse management system and dealer management system to form a data link, which greatly shortens the response time, thus meeting the management needs of the company and providing personalized services to customers.

From the perspective of social benefits, the implementation of the project will improve the efficiency and service level of automobile logistics, reduce the idle rate and operating cost of logistics, reduce paper consumption and improve the utilization rate of total social resources. First, promote the implementation of relevant laws and regulations. The country has promulgated and implemented the Electronic Signature Law, and the implementation of the electronic receipt system for commercial vehicle delivery will help promote the implementation of laws and regulations. Second, it is conducive to the promotion of the application of Internet of Things technology. The system uses mobile information to collect cargo information in real time, connects the Internet of Things through wireless network, and automatically processes data through the background system, so that the information can be used quickly and accurately. Third, it is conducive to improving the utilization rate of logistics resources. Fourth, it has a certain demonstration effect, which promotes the application of Internet of Things technology and further enhances the service capability of the automobile logistics industry.

Mo Jin Kang also told reporters that after the evaluation team composed of Shanghai Development and Reform Commission, Municipal Commission of Commerce, Municipal Commission of Economic Informatization and Municipal Finance Bureau studied and deliberated, Anji Logistics Commodity Car Handover Electronic Sign-in System, as a typical application case of Internet of Things technology in vehicle logistics business, has been included in the Shanghai service industry development guidance fund support project.
