March 20th: The treatment station announced the death of the victim.
April 18: Autopsy showed that the victim was beaten 72 hours before his death.
Sun Zhigang, male, 27 years old, just graduated from college for two years.
On the afternoon of March 17, 2003 10, he went out to surf the Internet as usual. In the next three days, he went to three places he had never been to before: Guangzhou Huangcun Street Police Station, Guangzhou Detention and Repatriation Transfer Station and Guangzhou Reception and Rescue Station.
What happened to Sun Zhigang in these three days, he can't tell us now. On March 20th, Sun Zhigang died in Guangzhou Reception Center (Jiangcun Inpatient Department of Guangzhou Brain Hospital).
His body has not been cremated yet, and it is still kept in the funeral home.
Sun Zhigang is dead.
He was taken to the police station, then to the shelter, then to the shelter treatment station, and then died.
Sun Zhigang has only been in Guangzhou for more than 20 days. 200 1 graduated from Wuhan institute of science and technology, and then worked in a company in Shenzhen. More than 20 days ago, he applied for a clothing company in Guangzhou.
Because he just came to Guangzhou, Sun Zhigang hasn't applied for a temporary residence permit, and he didn't carry his ID card with him when he went out that night.
At about 1 1 that night, Mr. Cheng (pseudonym), who lives with him, received a phone call. Sun Zhigang said on the phone that he was taken to Huangcun Street Police Station because he didn't have a temporary residence permit.
On a "three noes" city accommodation inquiry registration form, Sun Zhigang wrote: "I was shopping on Huangpu Street in Dongpu. After being questioned by security personnel, I found that I did not apply for a temporary residence permit and was taken to the Huangcun Street police station. "
On the phone, Sun Zhigang asked Mr. Cheng to bail him out with his ID card and money, so Mr. Cheng and another colleague immediately rushed to the Huangcun Street police station, which was close to the afternoon 12.
For some unknown reason, Mr. Cheng was told by the police that "Sun Zhigang can't get bail pending trial even if he has an ID card". There, Mr. Cheng witnessed many people being released on bail one after another, but he let two policemen bail. However, after seeing Sun Zhigang being questioned, both policemen said "this man can't do it", but did not explain the reasons.
Mr. Cheng said that one of the policemen also showed him the relevant regulations and said that they had the right to bring someone in.
Mr. Cheng was puzzled, so he called a local friend in Guangzhou. His friend told him that there may be two reasons why the police refused bail. One is that Sun Zhigang "committed a crime" and the other is "talking back".
Mr. Cheng recalled that he later saw Sun Zhigang in an office window of the police station, so he secretly asked him, "How did you get caught? Did you not cooperate?" Sun replied, "nothing, I was caught when I came out." Mr. Cheng said, "He (Sun Zhigang) admitted talking back to the police, but he didn't think what he said was very serious."
The police then asked Sun Zhigang to write materials, and Mr. Cheng and Sun Zhigang never met again.
The next day, another friend of Sun received a phone call from Sun from the shelter. According to his memory, Sun "stuttered a little, spoke very fast and felt very scared" on the phone. So, he informed Sun Zhigang's boss to find a guarantor. Later, one of Sun's colleagues went there once, but was told that the applicant's procedures were incomplete. After issuing all kinds of certificates, the boss of the company personally rushed to the Guangzhou detention and repatriation transfer station, but the reception station was about to close at that time, and the applicant had to wait until the next day.
On March 19, Sun Zhigang's friend called to inquire about the situation of the shelter, only to know that Sun Zhigang had been sent to the hospital (Guangzhou shelter). According to nursing records, the time of hospital reception was 18 at 1 1: 30.
Mr. Cheng said that at that time, they wanted to go to the hospital to see Sun Zhigang, but they were told by the doctor that they could not see him, and they had to be relatives of Sun Zhigang to sponsor him.
At noon on the 20th, when Sun's friend called again, he still couldn't believe the answer: Sun Zhigang died of a heart attack.
According to nursing records, Sun Zhigang was "insomnia, palpitation, frequent urination, nausea and vomiting, and quiet consciousness" when he was admitted to the hospital, and he was almost in a "sleep state" after that: until March 20th morning 10, when the nurse made rounds, he found that Sun Zhigang was "sick rapidly, pale, motionless and unable to measure his blood pressure". 10, the doctor took treatment measures such as adrenaline injection on 15, and announced to stop all treatment after 10 minutes. Sun Zhigang has lived for 27 years.
The hospital asked Sun Zhigang's friend to wait at the funeral home. Two hours after Sun's friend arrived at the funeral home, the body also arrived.
According to nursing records, Sun's death time was March 20th, 2003 10: 25.
Sun Zhigang was killed.
The autopsy results showed that Sun Zhigang was beaten and eventually died within a few days before his death.
According to the nursing records of the hospital, Sun died suddenly, and the causes of death were cerebrovascular accident and heart attack.
When submitting the autopsy entrustment to the forensic doctor, the hospital still said "sudden death, cerebrovascular accident". According to the doctor on duty on March 18, Sun Zhigang said that he had a history of heart disease when he was admitted to hospital, and concluded that Sun Zhigang died of heart disease. However, this statement was refuted by Sun Zhigang's family and classmates. Sun Zhigang's father said that he never knew his son had a heart attack.
Similarly, the results of forensic autopsy also overturned the hospital's diagnosis. It is clearly pointed out in the Examination and Appraisal Letter issued by the Forensic Medicine Appraisal Center of Zhongshan Medical College of Sun Yat-sen University on April 18: "Comprehensive analysis shows that Sun Zhigang is in line with the traumatic shock death caused by large-scale soft tissue injury."
Although Sun's body surface was not fatally injured, after cutting his back, the forensic doctor found that Sun Zhigang's subcutaneous tissue bleeding was as thick as 3.5 cm, with a range of 60×50 cm. Sun Zhigang was a young man, with a height of 1 m 74 and broad shoulders. Such a large bleeding range means that his whole back is almost a bleeding area.
On April 3, Sun Zhigang's body was dissected by the Forensic Identification Center of Zhongshan Medical College of Sun Yat-sen University. Sun Zhigang's two uncles, Sun Bingwu and Sun Songhai, witnessed the dissection process at the scene. "It's terrible!" Sun Bingwu said, "I didn't wear clothes, so the injury was obvious."
Sun Bingwu said that he saw two round black marks on Sun Zhigang's shoulders, about 1.5 cm in diameter, and five or six such black marks on each knee. These black marks are like "black paint dripping on the white wall". Sun Bingwu said that he heard a person who participated in the autopsy say, "This must be very hot."
Sun Bingwu said that he saw a fist-sized lump on Sun Zhigang's left rib, and the back injury even "scared" the doctor in charge of the autopsy. "From the shoulders to the hips, it is dark red, and there are many long scars." The doctor cut the first knife from behind. When the scalpel paddled, a black line appeared. When the second knife was cut, a black blood clot appeared.
Forensic examination also proved that there was no problem with other internal organs of the deceased, and "no fatal lesions were found".
The results of forensic autopsy showed that the cause of Sun Zhigang's death was a large area of internal injuries to his back.
The "analysis note" on the appraisal book also pointed out that Sun's body surface was bruised in many places, and obvious strip subcutaneous bleeding could be seen on his back. In addition to massive bleeding in the back, intercostal muscles can also see massive bleeding.
"From large-scale soft tissue injury to death, this process usually occurs within 72 hours," said a surgeon at the First People's Hospital of Guangzhou. "Soft tissue injury leads to cell necrosis and bleeding. Because the bleeding happens in the body, the eyes can't see it. In severe cases, it will lead to a large area of intravascular melting. This symptom is also called DIC. DIC is a turning point in treatment. Once it happens, patients usually die quickly and are extremely difficult to treat. Therefore, similar treatment methods are mainly hemostasis and anti-shock in the early stage. The purpose is to prevent the disease from entering DIC stage. There is no DIC, and patients have great hopes for survival. "
18 March, at 1 1: 30 pm, Sun Zhigang was taken to the hospital by the staff of the shelter (Guangzhou Shelter Rescue Station). On the same day, the doctor on duty recorded only one word in the column of "operation" in the medical record: "None", and the record in the column of "mental examination" was "No obvious abnormality was found, and the mood was suitable". Initially, Sun Zhigang suffered from anxiety or heart disease.
There is no record that Sun Zhigang has a large dark red swelling on his back, suspicious black spots on his shoulders and knees, and obvious swelling and swelling of his ribs. During the interview, the doctor on duty that night admitted that Sun Zhigang's trauma was not found because it was dark that night. The next day, "because the patient was wearing clothes, he didn't take the initiative to say that there was a trauma." Sun Zhigang's serious trauma was still not found.
The surgeon of Guangzhou First People's Hospital said: "The so-called sleep (in nursing records) is probably actually a shock." "Due to visceral bleeding and blood pressure drop, patients will have traumatic shock, which is one of the precursors of DIC symptoms, and rescue measures should be taken immediately."
However, in the nursing record, only "(patient) sleeps in this class" is indicated.
According to the forensic doctor, the massive bleeding in Sun Zhigang's body was the result of being hit by a blunt instrument, and more than once. "One blow can't explain such a large area of bleeding," said a forensic doctor who asked not to be named after reading the autopsy results.
Judging from the autopsy results, it is an indisputable fact that Sun Zhigang was beaten and eventually died within a few days before his death.
What is more noteworthy is that there are not many scars on Sun's body surface, but there is a large area of soft tissue trauma under the skin. The forensic doctor told reporters that under normal circumstances, wearing thick clothes in winter will happen if you are beaten.
The meteorological data from March 17 to March 20 show that the temperature in Guangzhou is between 16℃ and 28℃, so it is certainly impossible for Sun to "dress like winter" in such weather.
During those three days, Sun Zhigang's last career in Huangcun Street police station, reception station and hospital seemed to be far from as calm as written in various forms and records.
Should Sun Zhigang be taken in?
Have a work unit, a normal residence, an ID card, and only need a temporary residence permit.
After receiving the materials provided by the family of the deceased, the reporter visited three places where Sun Zhigang stayed three days before his death.
Huangcun Street Police Station refused to be interviewed, saying that it must be approved by the secretarial section of the branch. The reporter rushed to Tianhe branch and contacted the comrades in the secretarial section outside the branch by telephone. The secretarial section said that it must be approved by the news section of the Propaganda Department of the Municipal Public Security Bureau. The reporter then contacted the comrades in the news section and was told that he had to fax the interview outline first. The reporter then passed the interview outline to the other party, but as of press time, no reply has been received.
A deputy stationmaster of Guangzhou Detention and Repatriation Transfer Station also said that he could not be interviewed without the approval of his superiors. The reporter then went to the Affairs Office of Guangzhou Civil Affairs Bureau, and Director Xie received the reporter.
Xie said that he knew the death of Sun Zhigang. "The staff of the shelter are all public servants, and those who beat people will be expelled, and there are surveillance videos in the shelter." Xie said that he didn't know why Sun was beaten, but he would never be beaten in a shelter. After discovering that Sun Zhigang was unwell, they immediately sent Sun to the hospital.
Xie said: "I am 99.8% sure that no one will hit people in the bomb shelter." . Xie also said that Sun had not been sent to a shelter for a long time.
Like the Guangzhou Detention and Repatriation Transfer Station, the head of the medical department of Guangzhou Brain Hospital, who admitted Sun Zhigang, also said that Sun's trauma certainly did not occur during hospitalization. The person in charge said that video surveillance equipment was installed in the hospital, and a special person was responsible for monitoring. Once a fight is found, it will be stopped immediately. The reporter asked to see the video recording, and the person in charge said that he would wait for the investigation by the public security department, and they would not provide video information to the reporter before the investigation results came out.
Who killed Sun Zhigang?
The Civil Affairs Bureau believes that it is impossible for shelters to hit people. The rescue station denied that Sun's trauma occurred during hospitalization, and the Huangcun Street police station refused to be interviewed.
When he left the reception station for the hospital, Sun Zhigang had already filled out a "departure consultation form", which he wrote: Satisfied! Thank you! Thank you!
Now there is no way to know Sun Zhigang's mood at that time, and I don't know why he wrote two "thanks" in a row. Is he thanking himself for being cheated?
After reading the relevant management regulations and consulting professionals, the reporter found that Sun Zhigang did not seem to belong to the object that should be taken in.
The Regulations on the Administration of Detention and Repatriation in Guangdong Province, which was adopted by the Standing Committee of Guangdong Provincial People's Congress on February 23, 2002 and implemented on April 1 of the same year, clearly stipulates that "these Provisions shall apply to the administration of detention and repatriation of vagrants and beggars in cities of this province".
An investigator of Huangcun Street Police Station wrote when filling in the review comments: "According to the provisions of Article 9, paragraph 6, of the Regulations on the Administration of Detention and Repatriation in Guangdong Province, it is recommended to accept and repatriate."
This paragraph provides as follows:
Article 9 Persons under any of the following circumstances shall be accommodated:
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
The "Regulations" also clearly stipulates: "If you have legal documents, normal residence and legal source of life, but you don't carry your documents with you, the receiving department will not accept them after I explain the situation and verify it."
Sun Zhigang has a work unit, so he can't say that he has no legal source of income. Living in a friend's house can't be said to be "no normal residence"; If you have an ID card, you can't say that you don't have legal documents.
In the transcript of the police station's inquiry, Sun's ID number was clearly written, but in the form filled in by the Huangcun Street police station, it became "no fixed residence, no financial resources and no valid documents".
What Sun Zhigang himself lacks is a temporary residence permit. However, in any laws and regulations, the reporter did not find the provision that "temporary residence permits will be accommodated". The reporter interviewed the office of the Guangzhou Municipal People's Congress Law Committee by telephone and got a clear answer: it is impossible to accept only temporary residence permits.
According to the relevant provisions of the Measures for the Administration of "Three No's" Vagrants and Beggars in Guangzhou, only those who have not applied for the Temporary Registration Certificate of Floating Personnel, or those who are "unemployed and still temporarily staying in the city" after the expiration of the Temporary Registration Certificate of Floating Personnel.
But I don't know why, in the interrogation record of Huangcun Street Police Station, "Where do you have a fixed residence now" and "What do you live on in Guangzhou now? What proof is there? "
Mr. Cheng confirmed to reporters that Sun Zhigang did live elsewhere. In addition, the reporter also saw the written certificate issued by the clothing company, which proved that Sun came to work in our company as a graphic designer on February 24, 2003. During his tenure, he performed well and was honest. He was indeed a staff member of my clothing co., Ltd. ..
Why did Sun Zhigang become a "source of life" in his signed transcript? This is also an unsolved mystery, and Director Xie of the Civil Affairs Bureau is also very confused about it. "He is a college student, IQ is not low. How can he say that he has no job? "
So, according to the inquiry record, Sun Zhigang became a "three noes" person, the person in charge of the police station signed "consent to detention and repatriation", and the municipal (district) public security organ also agreed to detention and review, so Sun Zhigang was taken in, and finally, he died.
Sun Zhigang's unexpected death made his family, friends, classmates and teachers very sad. In their eyes, Sun Zhigang is a very good person, very talented, some extreme and some stubborn. Sun's younger brother said, "He doesn't have much social experience. He just studies and works, and prefers to preach the truth. "
Li Xiaoling, a classmate of Sun Zhigang, said that artists have their own personalities. Sun Zhigang has his own ideas, but he loves to argue with her for a long time because of a small matter.
After Sun Zhigang's death, his father and younger brother came from their poor hometown in Huanggang, Hubei Province, and dug up Sun's relics for reporters to see, which contained many award certificates. "He is the first college student in our hometown." But now the Sun family has a little regret about sending Sun Zhigang to college. "If he hadn't studied and refused to accept death, maybe he wouldn't have died ..."
