MG is an active pickup and has a wide range of adaptability to wood, so changing the pickup can improve the tone. It is recommended to change to an EMG85, as the EMG81 has a cooler and sharper tone. If you want to produce the tone of a Gibson speaker, you can buy an effector or speaker simulator. Slash is not a metal sound.

If you want that kind of tone, you can choose his signature Duncan pickup with a small output. If you want to play metal with a warm tone, you have to choose some pickups with a larger output, such as: EMG81/85/60 Duncan sh5/6/10/13
