The above is a screenshot of the internal wallet. DCEP Wallet will support digital asset exchange, digital wallet management, digital currency transaction record query, wallet link and other functions. It also supports basic functions such as code scanning payment, remittance receipt and payment, and mobile phone chip payment.
The screenshot of ABC's digital currency wallet test confirms the speculation that digital currency will take the lead in testing and launching in the four major banks.
A friend said that he had been waiting for someone to come out to refute rumors, but after waiting for two days, nothing happened. It seems really possible.
I also heard that the digital currency (DC/EP) of the Central Bank will be distributed as a form of transportation subsidy to employees of all district-level organs, institutions and directly affiliated enterprises in Xiangcheng District of Suzhou in May. Xiangcheng District of Suzhou City requires employees of district administrative units to install digital wallets in April, and 50% of wages in May will be paid in the form of digital currency, that is, the central bank.
It seems that digital currency, the central bank, is really getting closer and closer to us, and it is ready to come out!
But many small partners have the same question: DCEP supports dual offline payment. I don't know how to do it.
Then what is "double offline payment"?
Mu Changchun, deputy director of the Payment and Settlement Department of the People's Bank of China, mentioned in the course "Frontier of Technology and Finance: Libra and digital currency Prospect":
As shown in the above figure, digital currency, the central bank, can realize "double off-line payment" like paper money, that is, it can still make payment even if both revenue and expenditure are off-line. In the future, as long as both of them have installed digital currency's digital wallet and central bank, there will be no need for networks and signals. As long as the mobile phone has electricity, two mobile phones can transfer money in real time by touching each other. ?
That sounds really amazing!
Now that the network is so developed, in addition to the extreme situation of earthquake, what other scenarios need to use "double offline payment"?
First, I went to the underground supermarket to buy things, and the cell phone didn't get a signal. Indeed, WeChat and Alipay are very inconvenient to use. This is really what happened to me. At that time, I had to try to connect to public Wifi, but it is undeniable that connecting this public WiFi at will has certain security risks.
Similarly, it is really inconvenient to pay parking fees in underground parking lots, and sometimes the network signal is not good.
The second is on the plane. If you take a low-cost airline flight, you need to spend money to eat. In this scenario, you can only pay by credit card, and you can pay by digital currency of the central bank in the future.
Similarly, I took the high-speed train. I have been in a similar situation. I go to the dining car to buy food. At that time, the cell phone signal was not good, and it took me a long time to receive it.
If you have DCEP in the future, payment will become more convenient in trains, planes, underground supermarkets, underground parking lots and other scenes.
Double-line payment sounds amazing, but in fact, most people have actually used it, which is a bus card!
The bus card is a typical double offline payment, and the data is in the card and the server.
Every time you swipe your card, new data will be written back to the card immediately, and the card reader will record it.
The bus periodically sends data from the card reader back to the server. If you want to do something bad, you can still be found out during the reconciliation.
At present, there is no exact statement on how to realize "double offline payment", but it can still be learned from some public documents.
According to the patent "Transaction and Method of Offline Payment Using digital currency Chip Card" issued by digital currency Research Institute of China People's Bank, DCEP can realize offline payment through digital currency Chip Card:
This patent can be found on websites such as China National Intellectual Property Administration, and the specific process of offline payment is described in detail. Let's take a look at this patent proposed by Institute of Mathematics 20 16:
It seems a little obscure and can't be helped. The patent is written like this. I tried to translate them in vernacular:
For example, user A has D 100 in his e-wallet, and now both users A and B need to pay D 100 to user B..
1.a After opening the APP, the user selects the offline payment function, enters the payment amount and payee information, and then clicks Pay.
2. User A signs the above information with his own private key, and uses the mobile phone number of the payee or other information to identify the payee for encrypted transmission through NFC and other near field communication methods.
3. After receiving the encrypted information, User B's APP decrypts and verifies whether the legitimacy and amount of D coins are equivalent. At this time, for users A and B, the double offline payment has been completed, but at this time, B has not actually received the D coins transferred by A. On the APP interface, the D coins received should be in an abnormal state (unavailable). Next, the payment information will be sent to the digital currency system of the commercial bank after the user B's APP goes online.
4. After receiving the payment information, the commercial bank will verify its legality and send it to the central bank's digital currency system.
5. After receiving the payment information, the digital currency system of the central bank will change the owner after completing the same verification as online payment, change the D coin originally belonging to A to user B, and finally return the result to the commercial bank.
6. After receiving the success message, the commercial bank will inform the apps of users A and B to send the message of successful transaction, and then the status of D coins received by user B will become available.
Therefore, if A transfers money to B, D coins transferred from A to B cannot be transferred to C before B is connected to the Internet, and this dual offline payment cannot complete the chain payment.
Generally speaking, this process can be likened to the payer writing a check on the spot, and the payee cashing the check at the bank.
In the above-mentioned double offline payment scenario, electronic payment can only be realized after payment is completed.
If users use some loopholes to implement double flowers, from the patent point of view, it is handled in the form of post-accountability, that is, bad records will be entered into the credit information system for punishment.
Of course, when the system is implemented, you can also set the maximum payment amount for offline payment (such as 1000 yuan) to avoid risks.
From the perspective of ordinary people, in most cases, using DCEP is not more convenient than using Alipay and WeChat.
However, the author believes that the implementation of DCEP will be beneficial to the internationalization of RMB. DCEP can lower the threshold for international friends to use. As China consumers go abroad to spend money overseas, maybe in the near future, our international friends can register a wallet with their mobile phone numbers and receive money directly without opening a bank account.
I believe that with the formal landing of DCEP, a brand-new payment method will soon appear in our daily life, and the real digital currency era is coming.
