Can I travel from South Korea to Taiwan on a personal trip?

Yours is a Korean D-2 student visa. You can apply to travel to Taiwan without traveling with a tour group. On the Taiwan visa, you belong to the third category of mainland Chinese entering Taiwan. The documents to prepare are as follows:

Definition of the third category of Mainland Chinese:

1. Those who study abroad, live abroad and obtain local permanent residence, or live abroad for more than four years and have a work certificate and their Accompanying spouse or direct blood relative living abroad.

2. Those who go to Hong Kong or Macau to study or live in Hong Kong or Macau and obtain the right of permanent residence there or live in Hong Kong or Macau for more than four years and have a work certificate and their accompanying spouse or direct relatives living in Hong Kong or Macau Blood relatives.

2. Required supporting documents:

1. Applicants with qualifications as international students abroad, Hong Kong or Macao: Attach a copy of a valid student visa or the original certificate of studying abroad, and Copy of re-entry visa. The accompanying spouse or direct blood relative must provide proof of kinship.

2. Applicants who have obtained local permanent residence qualifications by living abroad: Attach a copy of the permanent residence certificate of the current place of residence. Accompanying spouse or direct blood relative must provide proof of relationship.

3. Applicants who have lived abroad for more than four years and have a work certificate: Attach a copy of the passport stamped with the mainland or foreign entry-exit inspection stamp and a copy of the foreign, Hong Kong or Macao work permit. The accompanying spouse or direct blood relative must provide proof of kinship.

4. Applicants who have obtained the right of permanent residence by living in Hong Kong or Macao: Those who have lived in Hong Kong or Macao for more than seven years and have no spouse or direct blood relatives accompanying them shall apply as residents of Hong Kong or Macao. If you are accompanied by a spouse or direct blood relative, please attach a copy of the Hong Kong or Macao permanent resident identity card or a Hong Kong or Macao passport valid for more than six months. The accompanying spouse or direct blood relative must provide proof of kinship.

3. Application method:

1. Those living abroad, in Hong Kong or Macau, must first submit the application form and required documents to the Taiwanese embassy, ??consulate, representative office, or service in the local area. Office or other agency authorized by the Taiwan authorities (hereinafter referred to as the overseas mission office) for review and annotation. After review and approval, send the original copy to the Taiwan travel agency to apply for permission on your behalf.

* Original passports and supporting documents must be submitted for inspection. ◆In the "Experience" column, if the applicant is employed In government agencies, you must truthfully fill in your previous positions.

◆The "overseas address" column must be filled in truthfully, and the regional phone number (cannot be replaced by a mobile phone).

◆ The "Status of Applicant's Relatives and Friends" column must be filled in in detail. If the father or mother has passed away, the name must still be filled in, and "Dead"

b. In mainland China Clear photocopies of your passport and resident ID card, which must be valid for at least six months or more.

c. Two 2-inch half-length photos (face without hat) within the past three months (white background only). ).
