Enlarging foundation: the contact area between pile foundation and soil is large, so the force per unit area on soil is small, the requirement for soil strength is low, and the buried depth is shallow. It is suitable for geological conditions with deep buried depth or shallow buried depth. Both have their own advantages and disadvantages, and there are no clear applicable conditions. The specific situation should be determined according to the economic and technical conditions of the scheme. Pile foundation belongs to underground concealed engineering, which is closely related to the engineering geology and hydrological conditions in the construction area.
