What should I pay attention to when buying wallpaper online?
1 material
Wallpapers sell well, and the market is big. It is inevitable that merchants will fish in troubled waters and shoddy them. When purchasing, you can test the quality of wallpaper by tearing it or burning it. Through the test method, it can be judged whether the wallpaper has obvious two-layer structure and whether there is black smoke or pungent smell when burning.
2. Budget
The cost of buying wallpaper is less, and many people don't pay attention to the price when buying it, but the cost of decoration is accumulated bit by bit. Don't underestimate the price of wallpaper when buying it. If the overall decoration budget is tight, then be careful when purchasing wallpaper.
Step 3 glue
The wallpaper itself is very environmentally friendly, but substances such as formaldehyde will still be detected when testing. Why? The problem lies in the wallpaper adhesive. The wallpaper is mainly paved with wallpaper glue, and the professional wallpaper glue uses natural plants, which is very environmentally friendly. However, some merchants will add some organic solvents in the production room to increase the use effect of wallpaper adhesive, so we must choose the correct wallpaper adhesive through the ingredients list and other means when purchasing.
4. Color
Generally speaking, the purer the wallpaper color, the more elegant the pattern, the more lasting and classic the paving effect, and it will not cause visual fatigue. Generally, each room chooses different colors and wallpaper with different colors according to different functions. Choose big flowers or small flowers according to the budget. Big flowers consume a lot because they need to be patched.
How to paste the wallpaper bought online?
(A) wall pretreatment
First check the firmness, flatness and hollowness of the wall. Uneven and easy-to-drop places should be scraped with a shovel, and the next step can be carried out only after grinding and leveling.
(2) Brush the basement membrane
If the wallpaper you posted before has been brushed with the basement membrane, you don't need to brush it again. You can paste the wallpaper directly, otherwise you need to brush the basement membrane again.
If you need wallpaper, you don't need to paint the wall. After scraping putty and polishing, you can brush a layer of basement membrane. The tool for brushing the basement membrane is the same as the wall paint, and it is also a roller brush, which is evenly brushed on the wall from top to bottom. It is particularly important to note that the basement membrane generally takes 12-24 hours to completely cure, and the cured basement membrane can be formed into a film, which plays a role in preventing moisture and mildew.
(3) wallpaper
1. Before pasting the wallpaper, the windows of the house should be closed to prevent the wind from blowing in. If the glue dries too fast, the wallpaper will look uneven.
2. Wallpapers must be laid in the order of wallpaper batch and serial number! To avoid color difference after wallpaper laying. Try to buy enough wallpaper at one time, and it is easy to have color difference when buying in bulk.
3, wallpaper before the shop is stuck, with a big shovel to eradicate the basement membrane layer particles, uneven.
4. Prepare wallpaper adhesive, and add appropriate amount of water and glutinous rice glue according to the manufacturer's instructions. Stir glutinous rice glue evenly with an electric drill and a stirring rod. Note: add water three times, and then add water after each stirring.
5. According to the wallpaper material, choose the gluing method. Generally, PVC wallpaper and pure paper wallpaper are attached to the back of the paper, and non-woven wallpaper is attached to the wall. After coating wallpaper glue on the back of the wallpaper, fold the wallpaper coated with glue back to back to make the glue distribute more evenly. After folding the wallpaper, pile it up in sequence and let it stand for 5~ 10 minutes before paving. Pay attention to brush glue evenly, not too much and not too little, otherwise the wallpaper is prone to wrinkles and watermarks. When rolling glue, you should pay attention to rolling in the same direction, not rolling back and forth, which will easily wrinkle the wallpaper.
Before cutting wallpaper, we must first measure the height of the wall. When cutting wallpaper, it must be about 5-8 cm higher than the wall. Spread the wallpaper on the ground, measure the height with a tape measure, and calculate the amount of wallpaper needed for the whole wall (the wallpaper should be spread on the ground with a layer of waste paper). Cut the wallpaper according to the serial number we checked before. Be sure to cut it according to the serial number, and don't put it in disorder. Generally, cut three volumes of wallpaper first, then paste it to see if there is any color difference before continuing.
7. Start to spread wallpaper: spread the first wallpaper from top to bottom at the door or in the shade. In order to ensure that the first wallpaper must be completely vertical, vertical or laser levels positioning can be used to make the wallpaper vertically paved. Standing on the ladder, gently scrape the wallpaper from top to bottom and from inside to outside with a scraper to squeeze out bubbles and excess glue to make the wallpaper flat and close to the wall. If it is suede wallpaper, you can only squeeze it down, otherwise the glue will stick to the suede and form an indelible white mark. The second layer of wallpaper is usually spliced by overlapping, that is, the seams of wallpaper overlap each other 1~3cm. Sticking should be carried out in the main lighting direction of the room, so that the dent at the splicing place can be less conspicuous. If it is a newly pasted wallpaper, it is normal to have seam marks. There is glue at the seam of both wallpaper, and the seam is obvious when the glue is not dry. When the glue dries after construction, the joints are not obvious.
8. Trimming and gluing: use a scraper at the closing position of both ends of the wallpaper, and cut off the excess wallpaper with a paper cutter after compaction. Blades should be sharp to avoid burrs. Then use a wet towel or sponge dipped in water to completely wipe off the glue remaining on the wallpaper surface to prevent the wallpaper from turning yellow. At the same time, make sure that the towel or sponge has 4-50% moisture, keep the towel and sponge clean, and paste 2-3 wallpaper before cleaning. During the construction of pure paper wallpaper, it is not allowed to scrape the paper glue hard to avoid polluting the wallpaper surface.
9. When there is a power switch or socket on the wall, you can first turn off the main power supply and remove the protective cover of the socket, then cover all the power supplies and sockets with wallpaper, cut two diagonal lines from the center point with the "X" knife method, dig out the hole of the switch socket, and then remove the redundant wallpaper around with the art knife. Scrape the edge hard with a scraper to wipe off the residual glue.
10, Maintenance of wallpaper after construction
After the wallpaper is dried, if bubbles are found on the surface, puncture it with a needle and scrape it flat. If the bubble area is large, you can inject glue into it with a disposable needle and scrape it flat with a scraper.
