1. After the machine is turned on, the keyboard indicator Num Lock and Caps Lock indicators flash, generally giving an alarm for the hardware failure of the machine. The faults of different machines are different according to a series of flashes of corresponding indicator lights. The following are the faults indicated by flashing:
The battery power LED indicator flashes: the battery power is low.
Blinking 1 time -Caps Lock/Num Lock CPU CPU can't run normally.
Blinking for 2 consecutive times -Caps Lock/Num Lock BIOS BIOS damage fault
Blinking for 3 consecutive times -Caps Lock/Num Lock memory module is wrong and cannot work normally.
Blinking 4 times in a row -Caps Lock/Num Lock graphics card controller is not working properly.
Blinking for 5 consecutive times -Caps Lock/Num Lock system motherboard general system motherboard failure.
Blinking 6 times in a row -Caps Lock/Num Lock BIOS BIOS verification failed.
Second, according to the flash of different machines, the methods to solve the problem are different. If your machine encounters related problems, it is suggested that you solve the problems in the following ways according to the meaning represented by the flashing indicator light:
1, low battery.
If the battery indicator (which looks like lightning) flashes, it means that the remaining battery power is not enough to start the computer. To solve this problem, try the following solutions.
A. Connect the notebook computer to the AC power supply and start the computer again.
B. Check the AC adapter to ensure that all plugs are plugged in.
C, determine whether the power LED indicator on the AC adapter is on (if available), and determine whether the computer obtains AC power from the wall socket.
D. If the computer can run normally under AC power supply, please charge the battery for 30 minutes to 1 hour, and then restart the computer.
Note: Charging the battery for 30 minutes to 1 hour is called "drip charging". "Drip charging" is a continuous constant current charging with small current, which will slowly charge the battery in a deep discharge state. If the battery is not used for a long time, deep discharge will occur.
2.CPU can't run normally.
The computer processor (flash code 1) cannot work normally. Please contact HP Gold Service Center for assistance. For the contact information of the Gold Medal Service Center, you can choose your province and city and the product type you use through the following websites:

3.BIOS damage fault
If there is a BIOS corruption error (flashing code 2), you may not notice the flashing code, because when the computer realizes the error, it will immediately restart, try to restore the BIOS, and then restart again. Therefore, you may find that the startup process is very long, and a message may appear when you start, indicating that the BIOS has been restored. If this happens, please update the BIOS on your computer.
4, the module error can't run normally.
If you encounter a memory failure (flashing code 3), please follow the guidelines in the following table.
If you are using:
First, the original memory and new memory
Reinsert the memory. If reinserting the memory does not solve the problem, please replace the memory with new memory. Reinsert the memory. If the error code still appears after reinstalling the memory, there may be a problem with the memory itself. Take the new memory out of the computer, put the original memory back in the computer, and then retest.
B. If you don't want to reinstall the memory yourself, please send the computer to the computer retailer and ask them to help you reinstall the memory.
Note: Some memory module errors allow you to start the computer and operating system before restarting and displaying flashing codes.
5. The graphics card controller can't run normally.
If you encounter a graphics card controller failure (flashing code 4), please contact the HP Care Pack Service Center for assistance.
6, conventional system motherboard failure
General system motherboard failure (flashing code 5) refers to a component failure that is not included in other indicator error codes. Please contact HP Gold Service Center for assistance.
7.BIOS authentication failed
BIOS verification errors (flashing code 6) rarely occur. This problem occurs when the BIOS installed on the computer is inconsistent with the hardware. This problem occurs when the BIOS cannot verify the signature of the system hardware. The goal of BIOS authentication is to ensure that the BIOS on the computer is not affected. If the BIOS verification fails, the computer will automatically perform BIOS recovery. If the computer cannot automatically restore the BIOS, please perform the BIOS recovery manually. To manually perform BIOS recovery, please press four arrow keys at the same time to make the BIOS enter the EFI partition, and find and recover the current BIOS.
