The full name of "Cao Quan Stele" is "Han Heyang Order Cao Quan Stele". Because Cao Quan's courtesy name is Jing Wan, it is also called "Cao Jing Wan Stele". "Cao Quan Stele" was erected by Wang Chang and others of the Eastern Han Dynasty to commemorate Cao Quan's merits and virtues under the orders of Heyang.
The "Cao Quan Stele" is one of the representative works of the fully mature period of official script in the late Eastern Han Dynasty. It is one of the few extant stone steles of the Han Dynasty in China that are relatively complete and have relatively clear fonts. The characters are evenly knotted, and the pens used are both square and round, but mainly round pens. They are graceful and beautiful, and are the representative of the beautiful style in Han Li.
To create with the "Cao Quan Stele" calligraphy font, you need to follow the following three steps -
First: To use the "Cao Quan Stele" calligraphy font to create official script works, you must accurately grasp the individual characters Regarding the font form, each character in the written content must be written in a suitable way according to the "Cao Quan Stele", and the characters that are not in the copybook must be modified to achieve harmony.
For those who are not familiar with the "Cao Quan Stele" copywriting, it is best to copy it carefully, or copy part of it, or even if it is not possible, you should carefully copy the words that need to be written several times. If there are any changes that are not in the copybook, you should write them several times in advance. This kind of effort will be half the success.
Secondly: Grasp the overall spirit and write the vivid atmosphere of "Cao Quan Stele" is the key. What needs to be understood most is that although the font of "Cao Quan Stele" is wide, flat and square, it is not shaped like a bead. Because of its length, it appears to be very flexible and interesting. Doing this is very important.
The third and most important point is to grasp the charm of "Cao Quan Stele". "The Monument of Cao Quan" is dignified and delicate without losing its sincerity. It is not superficial, but it cannot be written in a dignified and rigid way. Rather, it is very delicate and agile, full of ethereal inspiration, and is as graceful as the dance of heavenly beings. We should also pay attention to changes and avoidance in the length of fluctuations.
