Gongsun Zan (? -199), the word bogui (from Liu Kuan's reflection of Yin Bei, etc. ) Most of them are earl. Gongsun Zan is Liu Kuan's protege and attended Liu Kuan's funeral. Yin Bei was a native of Lingzhi (now Qian 'an, Hebei Province) in western Liaoning and a military commander in the late Eastern Han Dynasty.
Gongsun Zan comes from a noble family. Because of her humble status, her mother only became a small official in the county. Because of her handsome appearance, loud voice, wit and eloquence, she was praised by the chief of Zhuo Jun County and betrothed her daughter to him. Later, he gradually became a corps commander, fought bravely against the nomadic people in the north with a tough stance and threatened the frontier.
Gongsun Zan was belligerent by nature, and he was at odds with Liu Yu, the boss who advocated softening the policy of conference semifinals, and the contradiction gradually intensified. In the fourth year of Chuping (193), Gongsun Zan killed Liu Yu and held an imperial envoy hostage. He was authorized by the four northern States and became one of the most powerful governors in the north. Competing with Yuan Shao for many times, gaining an advantage in the early stage. However, after the battle of Longju, Gongsun Zan lost his spirit and adopted the strategy of self-protection, gradually losing the trust of his subordinates and being defeated by Yuan Shao. Eventually trapped in a tall building, he set himself on fire and died.
