When Severn's ratings plummeted, Eiji Tsuburaya was so angry that he would never make an Altman special film again. Severn was released in 1967, and until Eiji Tsuburaya died in 1970, he only made two Altman works in his life. Ultraman Jack, which appeared later, was an Altman work shot by Round Valley Company in memory of Eiji Tsuburaya.
