Legal analysis: if a lawsuit is brought because of the dispute caused by the resignation agreement of forging others' signatures and handprints, the statute of limitations belongs to the statute of limitations of civil cases, which is two years.

Legal basis: Article 102 of the Civil Procedure Law of People's Republic of China (PRC). If participants in the proceedings or other personnel forge or destroy important evidence, which hinders the people's court from hearing a case, or prevent witnesses from testifying by violence, threat or bribery, or instigate, bribe or coerce others to commit perjury, the people's court may impose a fine or detain them according to the seriousness of the case, and if the case constitutes a crime, criminal responsibility shall be investigated according to law.
