As the mainstay of Audi's SUV sales in China market, Q4 brand undoubtedly gives Q4 e-tron higher market expectations. Q4 e-tron's first pure electric car on MEB platform can get high marks?
MEB, as a pure electric platform that Volkswagen has spent four years researching and developing, its maturity has been verified in Volkswagen ID series. Therefore, we are concerned about Q4 e-tron, how the new car can express a sense of high-class which is different from ID series and belongs to luxury brands.
In terms of appearance, Q4 e-tron still retains a strong family-style design style, and the main changes focus on the front face. However, regarding the current product performance of Audi Q4 e-tron, we prefer to call it "pragmatic and conservative". On the one hand, in the China market where electrification and electrification go hand in hand, Audi Q4 e-tron is really conservative in intelligent driving, without lidar, high computing power chips and "future combat" hardware as OTA support. Compared with the new forces, there is still huge room for improvement.
On the other hand, the platform is conservative and open to the toolkit of Volkswagen Group. The electrified platforms are J 1, PPE and MEB respectively. From the characteristics of the platform, J 1 is mainly used for performance cars, PPE is used for high-end camps, and MEB mainly covers products such as Volkswagen, Skoda and Audi.
This time, Audi Q4 e-tron chose to produce on MEB platform, naturally for the purpose of filling the gap in the market and improving the price competitiveness of products.
