Mao Lao is an ardent patriot, and loving the motherland is the driving force of his life. His historical record of building, bombing and repairing Qiantang River Bridge before and after the Anti-Japanese War is the most sufficient proof. For more than forty years after the founding of New China, he loved the noble quality of the motherland, supported the leadership of the Party, and unswervingly pursued the socialist system. He was a model for intellectuals and young people.
He devoted himself to the bridge construction of the motherland all his life and made outstanding achievements all his life.
