Diplomatic passport: passports issued by the government to heads of state, heads of government and senior officials, diplomatic representatives, consular officials and other people engaged in diplomatic activities.

Official passports: issued to civil servants at or above the deputy county level in government departments at all levels in China, staff of Chinese diplomatic missions abroad, consular offices, United Nations organizations and their specialized agencies, their accompanying spouses, minor children, etc.

Ordinary passport: Passport is a legal document issued by a country to prove the nationality and identity of its citizens when they enter and leave the country and travel or stay abroad.

2. Different styles

Diplomatic Passport: At present, passports issued by China people and foreign countries have big red covers, commonly known as "red passports", and there are two versions: a 32-page ordinary passport and a 96-page padded passport. All the items in the passport are written in Chinese and English except the "remarks" in Chinese.

The center of the passport cover is printed with the bronzing pattern of the national emblem of China, with the words "People of China and China" and its corresponding English bronzing characters printed on the top and "Diplomatic Passport" and its corresponding English characters printed on the bottom.

Official Passport: Passport covers vary in color, but they are generally marked with the words "Official Passport".

Ordinary passport: The cover is in gold font, with a brown background and the national emblem of China in the middle. The national emblem is printed with "People and Country of China" on the top and "Passport" on the bottom, with no foreign language mark. The first page of the inner page is the nursing language and passport name, written in Chinese, French and English. The second page records personal data, including name, gender, date of birth, place of birth, accompanying children and other items.

The second page has the photo pasting place, the holder's signature, the validity period (fixed at five years), the issuing authority, the signature and the date. These materials were also translated into French and English.

3. The issuing unit is different.

Diplomatic Passports: Passports handed over by the people of China and foreign countries are issued by the people of China and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.

Official Passport: The official passport of People's Republic of China (PRC) is issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, China people's embassies and consulates abroad or other overseas institutions entrusted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the foreign affairs departments of the people's governments of provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government and cities with districts entrusted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ordinary passport: The ordinary passport of the People's Republic of China is issued by People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Ministry of Public Security.
