1, different issuers

Diplomatic passport: passports issued by the government to heads of state, heads of government and senior officials, diplomatic representatives, consular officials and other people engaged in diplomatic activities.

Official passports: issued to civil servants at or above the deputy county level in government departments at all levels in China, staff of Chinese diplomatic missions abroad, consular offices, United Nations organizations and their specialized agencies, their accompanying spouses, minor children, etc.

2. Different styles

Diplomatic Passport: At present, passports issued by China people and foreign countries have big red covers, commonly known as "red passports", and there are two versions: a 32-page ordinary passport and a 96-page padded passport.
