How to sign PDF on iPhone and iPad

How to sign PDF on Mac

On your Mac, you can simply use the built-in preview application to sign the PDF.

First, use Finder (file browser) to find the PDF file to be signed, and then double-click to open the document in the preview application. If it is not the default application for PDF, right-click the file and select the Preview option from the Open With menu.

Now, click the Mark button in the top toolbar.

This will display all editing options. Here, select the signature option. From the drop-down list, you will be able to create and add signatures. You can use the trackpad of a Mac, iPhone or iPad (connected to the same network) to create a signature.

If you want to sign with the trackpad, click the Click Here to Start button.

Now, put the cursor in the center of the trackpad and start creating your signature. When you are finished, press any key on the keyboard.

The signature will be added to the signature menu immediately. Now, you can click the signature to insert it into the document.

You can click on the signature, or you can move it. It can also be enlarged or reduced.

Signing with a Mac trackpad has one major drawback. You must sign on a continuous line. You can use iPhone or iPad as canvas to alleviate this situation. This is a particularly good choice for iPad users with Apple Pencil.

In the signature menu, click the iPhone or iPad button at the top. Now your iPhone or iPad will display the familiar signature screen.

The signature will now be displayed on your Mac. Click Finish to save it.
