In 1981, he served as Geng Baochang's special assistant and helped him compile the book "Ming and Qing Porcelain Appraisal" in Beijing. He was responsible for writing the book of more than 600,000 words in several years. Since its publication, this book has been recognized as a must-read for learning about the identification of Ming and Qing porcelain. It is also a model for the "Geng's Appraisal Method" and some people praise it as the "Bible" for identifying Ming and Qing porcelain. During the more than ten years of studying and working with Mr. Geng Baochang, under the guidance of the teacher, I visited major museums and cultural institutions in China, inspecting and appraising hundreds of thousands of ancient ceramic treasures.

Since 1982, Qiu Xiaojun has been employed by the Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau as a member of the "Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Relics Appraisal Team". Later, he was employed as an ancient ceramic appraisal lecturer for many times by the "Xi'an Cultural Relics Appraisal Training Course" of the China Cultural Relics Store, the "Xi'an Cultural Relics Training Course" jointly organized by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage and the State Administration of Customs, and the Xianyang Training Center for Cultural and Museum Cadres of Shaanxi Province. Since serving as the head of the acquisition department of the cultural relics store, he has acquired and appraised tens of thousands of valuable cultural relics for the country, such as bronzes, ancient ceramics, ancient jades, inscriptions, calligraphy and paintings, miscellaneous antiques, etc. He is a well-known antique appraiser in China and is included in the "Dictionary of Chinese Expert Names".

After immigrating to Hong Kong in 1992, in addition to opening a shop and running an antique business, he also served as a lecturer in the appraisal of ancient Chinese ceramics at the Hong Kong School of Earth Culture. His students include elites from all walks of life in Hong Kong. In the past ten years, he has mainly devoted himself to hands-on practice, antique authenticity identification and commercial operations. He has been active in Hong Kong, Britain, the United States, Japan and other antique markets. After experiencing the second major wave of antique counterfeiting in the past century, he has been conducting research on mainland imitations. I have my own unique insights into the craftsmanship, variety, provenance, famous craftsmen and other characteristics, and I have summarized my own set of methods for identifying fakes. His ability to identify forgeries and conduct textual research can also be attributed to the hundreds of thousands of pieces of ancient ceramic artifacts he has personally collected over the past thirty years. It is also attributed to the rich cultural heritage and heritage of living in the ancient city of Xi'an for decades and being influenced by it. .

In 2004, commissioned by the "Chinese Cultural Relics Information Consulting Center" of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage of China, and using the country's "Special Funds for the Loss of Overseas Cultural Relics", we successfully invested in four pieces at Sotheby's spring auction in New York for the first time. The precious Chinese cultural relics were safely transported to China after many twists and turns. This good deed was widely spread by overseas Chinese media. Treasure Hunting Expert(3 photos)
