1974 is a drought in the west. In order to water the crops, in March of that year, the villagers in Yangcun Village, Shanxi Province, Shaanxi Province, led by the production captain Yang Zhifa, came to a gravel beach with hoes and planned to drill a new well here.

By March 29th, the well had been dug to a depth of 5 meters, but Yang Zhisheng was very surprised to find some clay figurines buried under the mound. They are as big as real people, with red lips and white teeth. However, after they were moved up, their skin turned black quickly after a few minutes.

This frightened everyone around him, thinking that it was haunted by supernatural people, but Yang Zhisheng didn't think so. He brought some ceramic fragments home to analyze the reasons for his wife who is a teacher.

When his wife learned what happened when digging a well, she told Yang Zhifa that it might be caused by oxidation reaction, and what was buried at the bottom of the well was probably a cultural relic, so her wife advised Yang Zhifa to hand it over to the county.

Because xiyang village is not far from the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor, villagers often find some pottery fragments, but no one thinks about the whereabouts of cultural relics. However, Yang Zhifa reported these things to the cultural relics department of the county.

When experts and technicians arrived in succession and came to Xiyang Village for investigation, Yang Zhifa vaguely knew that he seemed to have discovered something remarkable. At this time, the news came. In recognition of Yang Zhifa's discovery, the county decided to give him a material reward from 30 yuan.

At that time, the diligent and loyal Yang Zhifa did not take it for himself, but regarded it as the usual expense of the production team. Yang Zhifa's selfless spirit has also been praised by people around him.

With the arrival of Zhao, director of Lintong Museum, the mystery buried under Qin Shihuang's mausoleum was uncovered little by little, and a discovery that shocked the world surfaced little by little. However, this may not be a good thing for xiyang village.

It was not until more than 20 years later that Yang Zhifa's fate was changed again. 1998, then US President Bill Clinton visited China. When visiting the Terracotta Warriors, he repeatedly called the roll, hoping to meet the first discoverer of the Terracotta Warriors, which did not attract much attention from the world.
