The original statement and authorization statement (see Annex I) immediately after the English page of the dissertation need to be signed by the graduate students themselves, and the dissertation needs to be submitted in electronic version for database management and online access. Papers with confidentiality requirements that are not suitable for publication shall be applied by the tutor, reviewed by the department, reviewed by the school secrecy Committee, reported to the graduate degree office for approval, and agreed to be kept confidential. After the confidentiality period, the authorization statement will be automatically recognized and made public.
Master's dissertations are generally more than 30 thousand words, and doctoral dissertations are generally more than 50 thousand words. Chinese characters are simplified Chinese; Traditional Chinese characters shall not be used except in some cases approved by the graduate school, such as fine arts and ancient books. Bilingual writing is encouraged, but the papers submitted to the national and school libraries must be in Chinese.
This format is mainly suitable for dissertations in science, engineering, medicine and management disciplines and general liberal arts dissertations, and it will be implemented after special circumstances are approved by the graduate school.
(1) Title of the paper
The title of the paper is the concentrated expression of the whole picture of the paper, which should be able to summarize the most important content of the whole paper. The proposition must be precise and concise, the topic should be as concise as possible, and it is not possible to generalize. It is necessary to see the substantive content and work focus of the paper. Chinese titles generally do not exceed 20 Chinese characters, and subheadings can be added if necessary. Subtitles can start on a new line, separated from the topic name by dashes. Abbreviations, characters, codes, structures and formulas that are not widely known and common should be avoided in titles.
Papers that can be published should have English titles. English titles should be printed on a separate page in front of the English-awarding unit, marked with the words "a dissertation to", followed by the degree category, postgraduate name, tutor name, date, etc. For the English title format, please refer to the download area of the graduate school homepage → graduate degree → English page format.
(2) Abstract of the paper (abstract)
The abstract of the paper includes the title, master's (doctor's) graduate student's name, tutor's name, school name, text and keywords. There are about 500 words in Chinese and 200~300 words in English, which should basically correspond. It is a high summary of the content of the paper, which should explain the research purpose, research methods, achievements and conclusions of the paper, highlight the creative achievements or new viewpoints of the paper, use concise and accurate language, and indicate 3 to 8 key words of the paper after the abstract. Keywords should be well-known common words and academic terms, as well as self-made words, abbreviations, symbols, etc. Should not be used, phrases should not be too long.
English abstracts introduce the contents of dissertations in the third person singular tone, so as to facilitate the extraction of other abstracts, so it is not appropriate to state them in the first person tone when writing English abstracts. The basic tense of narrative is the simple present tense, and it is really necessary to emphasize past events or completed behaviors before using other tenses such as past tense and perfect tense. You can use passive voice more, but avoid using "this paper" as the subject to complete some research activities instead of the author. When China's name was translated into English, it was in Chinese Pinyin. According to the principle of surname first, surname and first name should be full names, and abbreviations cannot be used. All surnames are capitalized and the first letter of the first name is capitalized. When the name is written in double Chinese characters, there is no need to use dashes between the pinyin of the two characters, but dashes must be used when it is easy to cause ambiguity. For example, Feng Changgen is translated into Feng Changgen or Feng Chang 'an, and Chang Feng 'an must be translated into Chang Feng 'an. The signature of the English cover of the paper also abides by this regulation.
(3) content
The table of contents is the outline of the paper, which reflects the outline of the paper. The table of contents requires a clear hierarchy, and the chapters of the paper should be numbered in sequence, with the page number on the right side of the page and neatly arranged.
(4) Annotation list of special terms (symbols, variables, abbreviations, etc.). ) This article (optional)
If necessary, you can set this comment table. This part can be defined and annotated according to the special terms such as symbols, variables and abbreviations used in the paper, so as to facilitate the reading of the paper and quickly find out the clear meaning of a symbol.
(5) Text
The text is the main part of the paper. The content can be changed according to the nature of the research topic. Generally, it can include: literature review, theoretical basis, calculation methods, experimental methods, analysis and discussion of experimental results after finishing processing, opinions and conclusions.
The text is numbered with Arabic numerals, and the page number is centered at the bottom. The abstracts, tables of contents and other contents before the text are arranged separately with Roman numeral page numbers.
