Four steps to encrypt and burn CDs

At present, the whole society has a very high awareness of information security. Not only do business information or company confidential information need to be handled safely, but more individual users are also beginning to "protect" personal privacy information. Usually, we will take security measures such as encryption for files and data information stored on disk media such as hard disk, USB flash drive and mobile hard disk, but there are few effective technologies and products for safe processing of data stored on optical disk.

In view of this, Asustek Optical Storage specially gives away the software with CD encryption function-Power2Go in its products. Through this software, users can protect the whole CD or some files in the CD by setting passwords. At the same time, you can hide some file names and never reveal the encrypted content. This technical way of encrypting optical discs by software does not need a special environment, and can be easily realized by installing software, which is more convenient and faster for users to use.

I'm afraid there is no basis for how simple and quick this method is. Next, I will be personally demonstrated by Bian Xiao, and the process of CD encryption will be "live" in the form of pictures and texts.

Step 1- Set password

(Legend: Click the "Create Safe Zone" button)

Set the password in the pop-up "Set Password for Your Encrypted File" window, and select "Hide File Name in Encrypted CD" to hide the file name of encrypted file and protect the information of encrypted data from being exposed.

Step 2- Select a file

(Legend: Drag the encrypted files or folders that need to be added to the red area, and drag the files or folders that don't need to be encrypted to the white area)

Step 3- Burn File

After dragging the encrypted and unencrypted files to the corresponding areas, click "Burn Now" to complete the subsequent burning operation. A few minutes later, the CD was burned.

Step 4- View File

After burning, browse the burned CD and find that the unencrypted file has appeared in the root directory of the CD, while the encrypted file is displayed as a special icon with the file name "SecruityBrowser". Double-click the first yellow encryption icon.

Legend: Browse the burned CD and find that the previously unencrypted files have appeared in the root directory of the CD, double-click the first yellow encryption icon)

After entering the previously set password, the encrypted file can be displayed.
