In the Song Dynasty, fingerprint technology was further developed. Song Ci, a criminal prosecutor in Song Dynasty, used fingerprints to solve crimes for the first time. The Record of Remembering Injustice, written by him, is the earliest forensic book in the world, which tells the story of solving crimes and collecting fingerprints. In western countries, the British doctor Henry foulds first put forward the fingerprint theory. It was not until 1880 that he published an article in the British journal of nature, describing that fingerprints would leave traces on cups, which could be used to prove the identity of criminals.
This is because the ancients found that everyone's fingerprints were different from the moment of birth. Several complete and clear fingerprints don't need special training. Ordinary people can find the same or different by careful comparison, not to mention those well-trained professionals. Modern fingerprint technology only improves the efficiency of identification, and does not need a complete fingerprint, as long as there are 4-5 key identification points, it can be compared.
We are proud that China's fingerprint technology is earlier than that of western countries 1000 years. People in ancient China have realized that everyone's fingerprints are different and can be used as important evidence for personal identification. In addition, most people in ancient China could not read, so they used fingerprint instead of signature.
