Vincent Willem van Gogh (1853- 1890), also known as "Van Gogh" in Chinese, is a Dutch post-impressionist painter. Born in a Protestant family, he was a pioneer of post-impressionism, which had a far-reaching influence on the art of the 20th century, especially the fauvism and expressionism. His works were influenced by the French realistic painter Miller. Van Gogh's works, such as Starry Night, Sunflower and Crow in the Rye, are among the most famous, widely known and expensive works of art in the world.

Most of Van Gogh's most famous works were created in the last two years of his life, during which Van Gogh was deeply mentally ill and finally committed suicide at the age of 37. Van Gogh is most famous for his unique series of works, such as Starry Night and Sunflower. In fact, his fresh and beautiful works are not inferior, such as the weeping willow park is the poet's garden, the lark in the wheat field, the wheat field under the cloudy sky and so on.
