Brazilian student visa application materials and requirements
What materials should I prepare to apply for a Brazilian student visa? What preparations need to be completed in China? What other requirements do you need to meet after arriving in Brazil? I think you have a lot of questions. Please be patient and finish reading my article.

Domestic:

Most international students need a visa to study in Brazil. You can get it through the Brazilian consulate in your country. The student visa is valid for one year and can be renewed.

Visas usually take two to three months to process, so make sure you have enough time to apply before the course begins. You can fill in the visa application form online. In order to complete the visa requirements in Brazil, you need to send the printed and signed receipt together with the following documents to the Brazilian consulate where you apply for a visa, or submit it in person:

1. passport (valid for at least six months after the end of the course)

2. Copy of birth certificate (may or may not be needed)

3. Two printed and signed visa application forms (Pedido de Visto), sealed by the Consulate General.

4. Two passport-sized photos

5. A copy of the letter of admission issued by a Brazilian institution recognized by 5.MEC. The content should include the duration of the course, the hours of each class and the hours of each week. It must be signed by a Brazilian notary.

6. Certificates of prosecution/conviction records issued in the past three months.

7. Proof of sufficient funds/financial support during the whole stay.

8. physical examination results-depending on your country of origin, you may also need to be vaccinated against yellow fever (then you will get a vaccination card, which you need to apply for a visa)

9. Visa fee receipt

Abroad:

Do you still need to report to the educational institution Conselho Estadual de Educa? O (Our institution is located in Brazil's states) submit academic transcripts, and our institution will authorize foreign academic recognition certificates.

You must enter Brazil within 90 days from the date of issuance of the visa. You need to register with the local police station (Policia Federal) within 30 days after your arrival, and you will have to pay a certain amount of tax for each day of delay, which is not conducive to the renewal or extension of your visa.

In order to ensure your normal residence, it is necessary to register with the police station to obtain a foreigner's ID card. This requires you to show a copy of your passport, student visa and admission notice, and pay for this card according to the method provided by the federal police. Finally, there is the visa fee receipt. You must apply to the federal police for visa extension at least 30 days before the visa expires.

As a student visa holder, you can also apply for visas for your accompanying family members, but neither they nor you can work in Brazil. You also need to buy private health insurance, either before you leave the motherland (which will be easier) or when you arrive in Brazil (with the help of the international affairs office of your institution/the international tax assessor in charge of international students).

Please take good care of your entry card, which will be filled in, signed and stamped by the entry officer at the airport. When you leave Brazil, you need to give the card to the immigration officials so that they can record your departure.
