How to incite regional economic growth with the optimal allocation of port resources? While jointly building a port cluster, the four cities launched the pilot projects of "dry port" and "through customs clearance". Last year, the number of containers imported and exported by Shaoxing through Ningbo Port increased by 3 1% compared with the previous year, and the port's economic drive to the cooperation zone has been "detonated" in advance. Behind the port, petrochemical, shipbuilding, aquatic product processing, logistics and other related industries have made great progress in Ningbo, Shaoxing, Zhoushan and Taiwan Province, and a coastal industrial belt and an international logistics hub in the south wing of the Yangtze River Delta have begun to take shape.
Great traffic opens channels and collaterals

Water resources are the main bottleneck restricting the economic development of the cooperation zone. In order to realize the cross-regional optimal allocation of fresh water resources, a large-scale water transfer project in eastern Zhejiang has been fully launched. The general idea is to divert water from Fuchun River to Shaoxing, Cao 'e River to Ningbo and Ningbo to Zhoushan.
At the beginning of 2003, with the full support of Ningbo municipal government, Zhoushan mainland water diversion project was officially opened, and the clear spring from Lanshan Reservoir in Zhenhai, Ningbo continued to flow to Zhoushan. Since then, Cixi's agreement to purchase water from Shaoxing Tangpu Reservoir has also come into effect.
