Extended data:
According to the records of Oracle Bone Inscriptions and Jinwen, Xingtian is a humanoid symbol, a symbol totem of clans and tribes. Xingtian was originally the nameless god of the Chinese nation, and was called "Xingtian" after being beheaded. Originally recorded in Shan Hai Jing, it was named "Xingtian", and the name of "Xingtian" was believed to be changed by Tao Yuanming.
When Tai Lan quoted the poem Shan Hai Jing, "Xing Tian" means "physically disabled". However, it may be wrong to copy it. There are two sayings: "Xing Tian Dance is a tribute" and "He died before he was a thousand years old".
For thousands of years, scholars have been arguing whether Tao Yuanming used "Xing Tian" or "Yao Xing". Hong Zeng in the Northern Song Dynasty said it was correct to "cultivate fields and dance for the dead", but Zhou Bida in the Southern Song Dynasty retorted that it was illogical to use "cultivate fields and dance for the dead" in poetry, so "Yao Xing has no age" was correct.
But in Qing Dynasty, Tao Shu tended to Hong Zeng's theory. Later, Lu Xun and Guo Moruo thought that "Yao Xing" and "Xingtian" could not reach this meaning, so they used "Xingtian".
