The winter climate in Pingchang County is cold, especially in Daguanling, and the lowest temperature in weather forecast is generally in this area. Among the many scenic spots in Pyeongchang, Longping Ski Resort, where Korean dramas "Winter Love Song" and "Lonely and Brilliant Ghosts" were filmed, is the most famous. Pingchang County lost the bid for the Winter Olympics twice by a few votes, 20 10 lost to Vancouver, Canada by three votes, and 20 14 lost to Sochi, Russia by four votes, and finally won the bid for the 20 18 Winter Olympics through unremitting efforts.
