On a large scale, consciously opposing cabinet style is a retro movement initiated by "the former seven sons". Li Mengyang (1472 ~ 1527) and He Jingming (1483 ~ 152 1) are the representatives of the "first seven sons". Their representative slogan is "Literature must be in Qin and Han Dynasties, and poetry must flourish in Tang Dynasty", which has a great influence on sweeping away the poetic style of Taige. However, the retro advocated by them is different from that advocated by Chen Ziang, Han Yu and Ouyang Xiu, and it is purely for retro. As a result, they abandoned the established tradition of literary development since the Tang and Song Dynasties, cut off history and embarked on a blind road of making the past serve the present. His works blindly copied and imitated, as Gui Youguang, who later opposed it, described: "Paper-cut dyeing flowers is quite good, so I didn't know there were natural flowers on the tree." Li Mengyang himself repented in his later years: "Yu Zhi's poems are not true, and the prince's so-called rhymes with scholars and scholars, but he speaks more and writes less" (Preface to Poetry).
