Cixi is located in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, on the coast of the East China Sea. It got its name from An Dong's "Mother's Kindness and Filial Piety" in the Eastern Han Dynasty. It is 60km from Ningbo in the east, Shanghai 148km in the north and Hangzhou 138km in the west. It is the center of the economic golden triangle of Shanghai, Hangzhou and Ningbo in the south wing of the Yangtze River Delta. Cixi is rich in tidal flat resources, and has reclaimed 65,438+10,000 mu of tidal flat, which is the richest land reserve resource in Zhejiang Province.

Cixi celadon culture has a long history and is known as the birthplace of "the road of marine ceramics". The celadon of Shanglin Lake is a treasure of Yue Kiln, which ranks with gold and silver vessels, precious vessels and silk in Four Treasures of the Study in Tang Dynasty. "South Blue and North White" laid the pattern of China ceramics.

Cixi, also known as "the capital of household appliances", together with Qingdao and Shunde, is known as the three major production bases of household appliances in China. The city is rich in products, including bayberry, peach, Yue kiln porcelain, paper-cutting and other specialties. Among them, "Yangmei Picking Tour" is one of the most distinctive tourism projects in Cixi. Rich in tourism resources, there are Shanglin Lake, Wulei Temple, Dapeng Mountain, Heming Ancient Town and other scenic spots.

Cixi is an important industrial and commercial city in the south wing of the Greater Shanghai Economic Circle in the Yangtze River Delta, and it is also an open coastal economic zone approved by the State Council, China. In 2008, the opening of the Hangzhou Bay Bridge narrowed the distance with Shanghai and became a golden node city in the south wing of the Yangtze River Delta.
