The jam of monitoring video playback is generally due to insufficient decoding ability of video recorder, bandwidth problem of switch, poor quality of network cable and hard disk failure.

Insufficient decoding ability of video recorder: the decoding ability of video recorder will affect the fluency of monitoring picture. If the data processing ability of NVR chip of video recorder is not strong, or the accessed picture exceeds the maximum decoding ability of hard disk video recorder, it will lead to the phenomenon of playing jam.

Switch bandwidth problem: switches will also directly affect the fluency of monitoring. If the backplane width and packet forwarding rate of the switch can't meet the requirements of the equipment, the screen preview and playback will be stuck. Under normal circumstances, 100M switches can be used for less than 8 cameras, and more than 8 cameras should use Gigabit switches. If it exceeds 100, the core switch should use a layer 3 switch with full gigabit ports.
