Data expansion:

Port 3389 is the service port of Windows 2000(2003) server remote desktop. You can use connection tools such as Remote Desktop to connect to a remote server through this port. If connected, you can operate the remote computer like a local computer by entering the user name and password of the system administrator. Therefore, the remote server usually modifies or closes the value of this port.

Modify the port settings on the server side. There are two places in the registry that need to be modified. The default value of [HKEY _ local _ machine \ system \ current control set \ control \ terminal server \ WDS \ rdpwd \ TDS \ TCP] port number is 3389, and it is modified to the required port, such as 6222.

The value of [HKEY _ local _ machine \ system \ current control set \ control \ terminal server \ winstates \ RDP-TCP] port number (default is 3389) has also been modified to the required port value of 6222.

Note that if your computer wants to continue using Remote Desktop after modifying the port number, and the computer has a firewall enabled, you must add the modified port number to the firewall exception. Otherwise, you will not be able to connect to the remote desktop using 3389 and the modified port number.
