Daqing area was the hunting ground of Dulbert Banner in Zhelimu League in the early Qing Dynasty, and there were always settled villages. 1On September 26th, 959, an industrial oil flow gushed from the "songji No.3 Well" near Gaotaizi in northern Datong, hence the name Daqing.

1960 On May 26th, Anda County was abolished and Anda City (prefecture level) was established. Anda Municipal People's Committee is located in Anda Town, which belongs to Songhua River area.

1960 10, Songliao petroleum campaign headquarters moved to Sarthou.

1On June 23rd, 964, Anda City was abolished, Anda County was restored, and Anda Special Zone was established, still called Anda City.

1979 12 14. Anda City was renamed Daqing City, which is directly under the jurisdiction of Heilongjiang Province.

Daqing City is located in the west of Heilongjiang Province and the north of the central depression area of Songliao Basin. The geographical location of the urban area is 45 46' to 46 55' north latitude and 124 19' to 125 12' east longitude. It is connected with Suihua area in the east, facing Jilin Province across the river (Songhua River) in the south, and bordering Qiqihar City in the west and north.

Binzhou Railway runs through the city center, with a distance of 0/59 km from Harbin/KLOC-in the southeast and 0/39 km from Qiqihar/KLOC-in the northwest. The total area of Daqing is 2 12 19 square kilometers, of which the urban area is 5 107 square kilometers and the urban built-up area is 207 square kilometers by the end of 20 10.
