The causes of behavioral geography
After the Second World War, the study of behavioral geography has been developing day by day. 1947, J. K. Wright put forward the research purpose of behavioral geography in the article "the space of objects and images in geography". Gould regarded "the recognition of environment and the study of spatial behavior by behavioral geography" as one of the six methodological advances in the 1960s. American scholars G. Olsson and D. Harrey discussed the concept, theory and application of behavioral geography in 1969. Human geographers K Cox and r·g· Golach wrote the monograph General Theory of Behavioral Geography, which systematically expounded behavioral geography. In 1970s, R.M. Downs even put forward the slogan of "behavior revolution". In 1980s, Kirks and Goriki pointed out in their book Re-discussion on Some Issues of Behavioral Geography that people's behavior in space is restricted by individuals and society, which pointed out a new trend for the study of behavioral geography.
