Who was the first person in China to shout the slogan of "equal wealth"?
In 993 (the fourth year of Chunhua in the Northern Song Dynasty), a large-scale peasant uprising broke out in Sichuan Province. The leader of the uprising is Wang Xiaobo. In the early years of the Northern Song Dynasty, because the government monopolized the exclusive rights of agricultural and sideline products such as tea by "monopoly tea law" and "buying tea", many tea farmers had a hard life and eventually went bankrupt. At that time, Wang Xiaobo, a small tea farmer and tea merchant in Qingcheng, Sichuan (southwest of Dujiangyan, Sichuan), who sold tea for a living, could no longer stand this sight. He thought that only resistance was the only way out, so in February of that year, he took the lead in leading "border households", bankrupt farmers, tea farmers and so on 100 people to launch an uprising in Qingcheng County, his hometown. At the same time, I put forward that "I suffer from the inequality between the rich and the poor, and now I am equal to you" (Song Shi Fan Zhigu). In December of that year, when Wang Xiaobo attacked Jiangyuan County, he was unfortunately shot with arrows and died because of ineffective treatment. His brother-in-law, Li Shun, succeeded the rebel leader and continued to fight against the government. He successively conquered Zhou Shu (now Chongqing), Qiongzhou (now Qionglai) and Yongkang (now Dujiangyan), and confiscated the food and property of the richest man in the village to help the poor. In the first month of 994 (the fifth year of Chunhua), the insurgents conquered Chengdu, and the founding of the country was famous. Li Shun, known as the King of Shu, controlled most counties and counties from Mianzhou (now Mianyang) in the north to Wuxia, and the team also expanded to several hundred thousand people. Subsequently, the rebels captured Jianmen. For various reasons, Zizhou (now Santai, Sichuan) was defeated for a long time. Song Jun managed to fight back. In May of that year, Song Jun attacked Chengdu, and Li Shun, the king of Shu, disappeared in the war. Zhang Yu and others will continue to lead the rest of the rebel forces to fight in eastern and southern Sichuan. In February 1995, Zhang Yu died and the uprising finally failed. The uprising lasted for three years, and the time was not very long, but it was the first time in the history of China peasant uprising war that the slogan of "equal wealth" was put forward, which had a very far-reaching impact on the historical development of China and the subsequent peasant war.
