1957 In May, Shanghai Young Pioneers launched the Red Scarf Month with the slogan of "Love the Red Scarf and Be a Good Team Member". During the "Red Scarf Month", young pioneers collected scrap iron and donated the first tractor "Red Scarf" in Shanghai to the motherland.

In June, 1953, the Chinese Children's Team was officially renamed as the Chinese Young Pioneers.

Join the young pioneers

Article 1 1 of the Constitution of China Young Pioneers stipulates that all children aged 6 to 14 will voluntarily join the Young Pioneers, abide by the team rules, apply to the Young Pioneers organization of their school and become members after approval.

Before joining the team, the team members should do a good deed for the people and hold a joining ceremony.
