Thoughts on Outward Bound Training
At the beginning of April, the outward bound training plan was made and arranged for implementation; However, due to the weather on Saturday and the influence of many people on business trips, it had to be postponed until May Day. After many hardships, we finally set off smoothly on this Saturday, May 6th.

It should be said that luck is good and the weather is rare. There is no smog and no big sandstorm these days. The weather is fine, it is cool in the morning and early summer, and it is not hot at noon, so no one will sweat.

When it comes to why they choose to expand training, many employees may say that it is a political task and they are biased by the company in order to strengthen their work. But in fact, in my personal decision, this reason is really secondary. In the past, we chose some conventional tourism projects, which were nothing more than finding a tourist attraction, hiring a tour guide, visiting and having lunch. But the real effect is that the effect of communication and integration is not very good. The reason may be: 1) Someone has been there. 2) Some people are naturally not interested in such scenic spots as mountains and temples in Shanxi. 3) Looking at the scenery, people who talk in groups are still familiar with it; On a business trip, I still don't know most of my colleagues in the company.

Outward bound training is the first time for our company and most new colleagues, and it should give you a different experience. And in this form, everyone who is forced to actively participate and cooperate will increase their familiarity with colleagues around them and reduce the strangeness of new employees.

People from the Outward Bound Training Company told me some rules and meanings of training games. Based on the characteristics that most employees in our company are young people, I personally think it is extremely suitable for us to experience. Let me talk about my personal thoughts on each specific project:

1. Team building: opening a camp to break the ice

2. Target project: Challenge 150 seconds.

Divided into four small games, two games are full participation, and two games are most members participation.

Manager Du spoke very well at the beginning. "Is our goal to be the first or to focus on participation?" . This reminds me of the Olympic movement in our country. We can win so many gold medals, but can it show that our sportsmanship or overall sports level is very high?

Medals are not the goal, but the overall level is the goal. We are mainly willing to participate in the game, with little emphasis on ability. In this process, it involves the connection of four game links, which embodies the division of labor, integration, management, interface, technology, process and so on.

After the game, my personal concluding remarks mainly include the following three points:

1) responsibility and responsibility: members of a team have different abilities, and different people are good at different projects. From the perspective of team leadership, we should put the right people in a relatively suitable position. After the division of labor, there must be strong and weak points. We should cooperate with the strong and join hands with the weak. If * * * Qi Xin works together?

Once the division of labor, no matter which group, are bound to bear their own responsibilities. If one of the small teams doesn't perform well, the whole big team can't do well. In this respect, it reflects the responsibility of the group or individual.

2) Pay attention to science, methods, technology, coordination and rhythm: how to connect the links? What are the technical essentials? How to assist management? How to boost morale? Without the guidance of methodology, it is impossible to achieve good results. At work, don't just bury yourself in your work.

3) Making no mistakes is the greatest efficiency: combining work is the greatest efficiency, that is, not reworking or changing requirements. What we pursue in our work is not absolute speed, but relative speed and quality speed. No mistakes, is the most quality speed. Just like the tortoise in the race between the tortoise and the hare, the most efficient speed of the tortoise itself is only the correct direction and persistence. It is unrealistic for turtles and rabbits to compare absolute speed. Sometimes in life, we should have a clear understanding of ourselves. I am an ordinary person, and I want to be Buffett in China. If not, I will feel distressed, sad and meaningless. In a quality life, if you have a high sense of accomplishment, you are Ok. Don't always want to run first.

3. Personal challenge category: broken bridge at high altitude

Standing at high altitude, the pedal at the foot is wobbly and the seat belt is not fastened. Although there is a loose safety rope, I need to keep rational thinking and warn my heart that I am safe. Breaking a bridge at high altitude is not like riding a roller coaster. Although the roller coaster is more dangerous, the safety belt of the roller coaster will be fastened, which directly brings people a strong sense of security. Through physical perception, our psychology will be more practical.

Sometimes this kind of game often tests whether we can overcome the lack of physical perception through rational cognition! Suddenly I thought of an ostrich. If it has rational thinking ability, it needs to tell itself mentally: it is useless to bury its head in the sand, so run fast; But it has no thinking ability and can only rely on the body's perception ability: when it senses danger, it buries its head in the sand. Humans often smile when they see this scene. But we humans, in most scenes, are not like an ostrich? In dealing with routine affairs, people with strong thinking and cognitive ability and knowledge will be more like people! People who lack knowledge are more like ostriches; In recent years, children are often locked in closed cars and killed. People who realize that this is basic common sense often feel incredible; People who don't realize this knowledge often break out in a cold sweat!

Personally, I have a moderate preference for dangerous and challenging games. Unlike some people, I have a great hobby: I like to seek excitement and like challenges. Once, I was faced with a 50-meter-high bungee jumping project (like today, standing on a high-altitude crossbar platform, swaying, with chains tied to my feet, and the waiter next to me pushed you sideways, making you fall headfirst. ), at that time, my legs were weak and I wouldn't go anyway. There is a female colleague, a little girl, who has a great preference for this kind of games. I asked a lot of people not to go, and then she ran to the challenging venue without hesitation; At that time, there was a strong sense of shame: I was not afraid of a little girl, so many men and women were afraid to go? So I was forced to participate and finally had such a rare experience.

A few years ago, I came into contact with a concept-PSK (Personal Survival Kit). Some people are afraid of guests. This kind of people think that the crisis will come at any time, and only by making full preparations can they better protect themselves and their families when the disaster comes. Therefore, they tend to keep fit and learn the skills of survival in the wild, carry some tools such as lighters, knives and band-AIDS at any time, and always keep a prepared survival kit at home. When we see this information, we often think that this is a person with psychological barriers, and our life is not at this level. We have lived in a peaceful environment and lived safely for decades, and we have hardly encountered anything that threatens our lives. But reading newspapers and news shows that there are natural and man-made disasters and accidents everywhere in life. In recent years, Sichuan earthquake, cruise ship sinking, fire and gangster robbery have occurred from time to time.

For each of us, there is actually a probability of encountering a crisis. If the probability of a day is almost zero, what about 60 years old *365=XXXXX? Think of today's high-altitude broken bridge as a floor escape in case of fire. It happens that you are trapped in such a field, and there is such an extended springboard from the window, but it is not long enough. Can you escape? What if there is another child behind you? Can you take him? What if there is a lover with soft legs? People sometimes need some courage! A few years ago, I saw a cruise ship sinking and tourists were killed. I said to myself: I must learn to swim when I have the opportunity, and I must let my children learn to swim when I have the time. Sometimes, when we can't protect others, we should first consider not dragging others down.

The coach's interpretation of this game is: when you face difficulties and challenges, do you only pay attention to the difficulties under your feet? Or staring at the target ahead? So when I climbed the platform, I told myself not to look at my feet, but to look forward. On the high platform, tossing and turning, shivering; Take a deep breath, make up your mind and jump bravely, but it is calm; Many times, the difficulty lies in the anxiety before action and in our own artificial ability valve.

Do you have the courage to make a big leap in the face of difficulties in your work and life? Sometimes thinking determines habits, and habits also affect abilities!

4. Trust project: Trust withdrawal

In this project, my understanding is two key words: entrustment and responsibility.

After the game, everyone's summary is more about trust. We stood on a high platform, and the retreating people shouted slogans: "Can I trust you?" ; The people who greeted them at the bottom shouted, "We will always support you!" " .

Entrustment and trust are different. Trust: it means that you subjectively believe that the other party can do it; Entrustment: refers to that you entrust something to a designated person, but you are not sure whether you can handle it well; It is your right to choose who, but most of the time, you don't know his ability; Or you know that his ability is average, but you have no choice; Or you entrust him to experience him knowing that he is incompetent. In any case, after the entrustment, you personally voluntarily bear the result of entrusting the current person.

I personally believe that the following people will try their best to catch me; But I don't believe they will catch me. The main reason is: 1) Your ability may not reach. 2) There is a gap between subjective will and practical ability. 3) You shouted "Forever Support", but didn't say you would definitely support it. 4) There will always be accidents.

In work and life, we are more faced with a entrusted scene; There is one thing that needs the help of a friend, or there is a job that needs to be arranged for team members to perform. We are always faced with limited resources: the circle of friends is so big and there are so many team members. We can only choose the right person to do it at the right time. The result is what we think is acceptable at present, or the best effect can be achieved under the current resource conditions.

When we fall down below, we will feel more responsible. People on the high platform entrusted their lives to us. Can we do that? That is really a heavier responsibility than Mount Tai. We should do our best! However, the scenes in the game, in reality, are often completely different. In the game, there are several characteristics: 1) short time; 2) great responsibility; In this case, almost all of us, out of instinct, try our best to complete the trust in ourselves, and after that, we also win the trust of the other party.

For example, in work and life, the leader arranged a month's task for me. Leaders think it is very important and crucial, but individuals often don't think so; And one month, a long time limit. Can individuals continue to attach importance to this task for such a long time? Can you complete the tasks assigned by the leaders with high quality within the time limit? Often unsatisfactory scenarios are: 1) The task publisher and receiver have different understandings of the task; 2) task expansion; 3) The task was completed on schedule, but the quality was not up to standard.

Dedicated people, responsible people, and leaders often complete tasks in time with good quality and quantity. And have good feedback and interaction with superiors. In the long run, the harvest is: the trust of superiors. Step by step to gain the trust of your superiors, and with long-term iteration, your superiors will arrange more and more important things for you to do. In this process, you will create your own value while embodying your own abilities. Therefore, the trust of superiors is an important indicator of whether a person can go further in the company. And how to gain the trust of superiors runs through every little thing in our work.

5. Communication and coordination: digital transmission

This game gave me great lessons and excitement. It was a game that we lost miserably with the belief of winning.

The rules of the game are simple. The players lined up. They are not allowed to talk or draw numbers on their backs. Through the rules and tacit understanding of our own team, a math is quickly passed from the last member of the team, which is any math below 9999.

At the beginning of the game, our team explored a technical model similar to the mathematical keyboard, which simulated the input of the mathematical keyboard by clicking on different parts of the body; People in our team are very excited to think of this technical model; Because what the naked eye can see is that some teams simulate the input of a number by counting beats; If it is multi-digit, their efficiency is extremely low, and it is conceivable that the risk is greater. We believe that our technological advantages are much greater, which also verifies our ideas in the first two simulation games. Our speed is much faster than the other two teams. We are very proud and complacent. We firmly believe that we will win, win!

In the last game and the official game, the red team changed the technical way and logic of information transmission, and we were caught off guard; They not only borrowed from the way of our math keyboard, but also were reminded by the coach to realize the mode of keyboard (1 person)+analog data line signal transmission (n people)+display screen (1 person). This model fundamentally optimizes the defects of our technical methods; If we are the first generation technology, then they can be said to be the third generation; In the end, they won the victory with great advantage, basically more than twice as fast as us.

There are many scenarios and problems to reflect on:

1) complacency: our complacency is unreasonable. If you don't make it to the end, you are Tan Shengli.

2) The mentality of refusing to change: in the middle two simulations, we mentioned making some adjustments and optimizations; Although some measures mentioned at that time were not a good direction; But the atmosphere that pervaded the team at that time was: don't change, and don't think about changing. We just need to put this method into practice. So when the coach publicly put forward some opinions, the positive thinking of the red team was changed; On the other hand, we conservatives sleep on the success of past tests. Using past experience to speculate on future results will inevitably bring unpredictable adverse consequences. There are even worse Blue Hawks than us, who are more conservative and persist in knowing that the direction is wrong.

3) Communication: I noticed that Cui Jian, the captain of our team, had just put forward an opinion, but I interrupted him halfway and put forward the idea of a numeric keyboard, which was recognized by everyone, and then he didn't continue to express his ideas. In this process, I personally think that he didn't continue to publish his ideas, which shows that his ideas are not as efficient as mine.

But there is another possibility in life: he thought he had a better way, but he didn't express it clearly in a short time and won everyone's approval, so he gave up the idea. Assuming that this is actually the case, we must learn to reflect on two issues. 1) Cui Jian personally thinks, how to make team members understand their ideas as soon as possible in a short time? Presentation skills and abilities are crucial. 2) How can team leaders, team members and team culture inspire and fully absorb collective wisdom? Do team members and leaders have sufficient communication in their work and life? Did the supervisor and manager fully listen to the opinions of their subordinates? As a subordinate, have your constructive opinions been accurately conveyed to your superiors? Fully listening is the basic requirement of being a leader.

4) Staring at others or surpassing yourself? When we are in the second and further position, we need to keep an eye on the first and achieve the goal of surpassing it; But if we are the first, we still need to focus on the second, so that we can be arrogant from time to time? If we think we are the first, what we need to do at this time is to surpass ourselves and make positive self-iteration, otherwise we will soon be surpassed.

5) How similar is this scene to work and life? Our short-term technological advantage? Compared with classmates and friends, what is our comparative advantage in short-term life, career or income?

6) Technical advantage is sometimes more important than hard work.

At the end of the coach's summary, he said two words that are worth remembering forever: "Simplify complex things and standardize simple things." !

6. Team integration: graduation wall

Before the game started, the person who expanded the company said to me: Do you want to consider changing the project? There are many girls in our company, few boys, and boys are not strong. Up to now, everyone is a little tired. I hesitated for a moment. When I learned that if we change the project, we will change the small project and the small game, I think we still have to play this. Try hard, or you will give up halfway! !

First impression, seeing the wall, I feel a sense of powerlessness from the bottom of my heart; Without any tools, all by manpower? That's a four-meter 90-degree straight wall! Based on the average height of 1.7 meters, the height of two people with outstretched arms is barely enough. Because pyramid-shaped arhats can only step on their shoulders, not their heads.

The coach talked about some methods, skills and safety measures, and we started climbing! 16 minutes, all 50 people climbed successfully!

To sum up, this game is the most enthusiastic, selfless, United and wonderful. Because I can't do it without bleeding, I'm tired. But after we finish, people will feel that we have accomplished something, something that we thought was impossible before.

Speaking of this process, I suddenly feel that we human beings, just like the previous story: put a piece of glass in the middle of the glass jar, and the small animal that is always hit by the middle glass will no longer be willing to try to swim halfway to the glass jar when the glass wall is removed one day. We always artificially set up countless ceilings for ourselves, but we don't know where our limits are. Today is the four-meter graduation wall. We didn't think we could do it, but we climbed up. What if it is changed to five meters?

Where are the limits of our personal abilities? Where is the limit of the team's ability? Whenever I meet a job or something, I want to say: I can't, I can't do it. Do you want to try again?

Summary:

After several expansion activities, the core of my experience is summarized as follows:

1) It is particularly important to talk about science and methods, so don't just bury yourself in your work.

2) Making no mistakes is the greatest efficiency.

3) Personal responsibility in practical affairs is the source of others' trust. "Words must be done, and actions must be fruitful."

4) While gaining the leading edge, we must be careful of the late-comer advantage; At this time, it is more important to surpass yourself than to lead others.

5) Encourage self-innovation and wisdom crystallization of team members.

6) Don't set yourself the ceiling of ability, but be brave to try.
