Patriotism has been endowed with different connotations in different times. "Eight Honors and Eight Disgraces" covers patriotism, collectivism and socialist thoughts, embodies the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation and the requirements of the times, embodies the socialist world outlook, outlook on life and values, and defines the most basic value orientation and code of conduct in contemporary China. It is an incisive summary of Marxist moral outlook, a systematic summary of socialist moral outlook in the new period, an important part of people-oriented, comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable development of Scientific Outlook on Development, and a new moral outlook.

In order to revitalize China, adapt to the requirements of the new situation and new tasks, open up the future, educate future generations, care about the growth education of the next generation, pass on the fine traditional spirit of patriotism to the next generation, and improve the overall quality of the Chinese nation. To this end, the China Commission for Discipline Inspection actively assisted and cooperated with the requirements of the relevant departments of the Party and the government around the central work of the Party and the government in different periods, and completed the tasks assigned by the Party and the government.
