Lianjiang, a characteristic agricultural county in China.
Lianjiang City is located in the southwest of Guangdong Province, in the north of Leizhou Peninsula, at the junction of Guangdong and Guangxi provinces, bordering Guangxi and Beibu Gulf in the north and facing Southeast Asia in the southwest. It is the gateway to communicate southwest and southeast Asia.
Lianjiang has a long history. Jianxian County was named Shicheng County in the fifth year of Tang Wude (AD 622). In the first year of Tang Tianbao, it was renamed Lianjiang County. Later, Luozhou Prefecture was established, and 19 15 was renamed Lianjiang County. 1993, the county was withdrawn and the city was established. It governs 18 towns and 3 sub-district offices (Luozhou, north and south), covering an area of 2,835 square kilometers, with a total population of10.5 million. It is a county-level city with the largest population and large area under the jurisdiction of Zhanjiang.
It belongs to the south subtropical monsoon climate, with abundant sunshine and rainfall, fertile land, spring-like seasons and abundant natural resources. There are more than 20 kinds of mineral resources such as gold, silver, aluminum, zinc, tin, antimony, granite, limestone and basalt, among which silver ore and granite are among the best in Guangdong. There are abundant water resources here. Jiuzhou River runs through more than 80 kilometers southwest of the city, and the water area that can be developed and utilized in the city is 654.38+0.6 million mu. There is also Hedi Reservoir, one of the three major reservoirs in Guangdong, with a storage capacity of 65.438+0.2 billion cubic meters and a water area of 65.438+0.22 square kilometers. National leaders such as Dong, Chen Yi and Guo Moruo visited and wrote inscriptions.
Lianjiang, with outstanding people, beautiful scenery, pleasant climate and rich resources, is a good place to invest in home ownership. 1995 won the title of "hometown of red oranges in China" and "national sanitary city"; 1996 won the title of "Top 100 Afforestation Counties (Cities, Districts) in China"; In 200 1 year, it was awarded by the provincial government as "the advanced city of southern Guangdong culture" and "the advanced county (city) of marriage and childbearing in China".
Orange, evergreen trees or shrubs, oval leaves, round and juicy fruit, red and yellow skin, sweet and sour taste. Lianjiang red orange is big and beautiful, with thin skin and red meat, and pure fragrance. It is one of the few citrus varieties in China that can compete with American "Sunkist" oranges.
Lianjiang tangerine is a high-quality citrus product selected by the state-owned Hongjiang Farm in the 1970s (Hongjiang Farm called it Hongjiang Orange). According to the identification of national and provincial experts, the variety source of Lianjiang red orange is the mosaic (fan-shaped) variant of Luojiang Liutian orange grafted with Jiangxi red orange. Only under the specific geographical location, soil, climatic conditions and cultivation techniques of Lianjiang, its special excellent characters and quality will be shown. Because of its good color, fragrance and taste, it is well-known at home and abroad, and won the title of national high-quality fruit, which was designated as "good fruit for state banquet", and Lianjiang City was also named "the hometown of red oranges in China" by the state.
From 1976 to 199 1 year, Lianjiang red orange has grown to136,000 mu, becoming the largest red orange production base in China. It is said that 199 1 year, the output of Lianjiang tangerine reaches 64,000 tons, and the output value exceeds 100 million. Many farmers have embarked on the road of getting rid of poverty and getting rich because of growing oranges. However, since 1993, due to the lack of understanding of citrus "cancer" Huanglong disease, neglect of supervision, the influx of diseased seedlings, lack of follow-up funds and backward management technology, the quality of Lianjiang red orange has seriously declined, and the output has also declined in a large area, from 136 thousand mu in its heyday to 1998.
The output of Lianjiang tangerine has fallen seriously, which has attracted great attention of provincial, municipal and local party committees and governments. 1995, the province decided to allocate 500,000 yuan for Lianjiang's "orange restoration project". Starting from this year, the curtain of the "Red Orange Restoration Project" was officially opened. But after years of market baptism, Lianjiang people realized the necessity and urgency of standardized production of red orange. In order to give full play to the advantages and brand effect of Lianjiang Red Orange, in recent years, Lianjiang Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government attached great importance to the rescue and recovery of Lianjiang Red Orange, took Lianjiang Red Orange as the fist product to participate in the international market competition, re-established Lianjiang Red Orange brand, and made great efforts to build the fruit industry chain. They invited and organized experts and professors from relevant scientific research units to tackle the virus-free problem of Huanglongbing, invested nearly 2 million yuan to establish a demonstration base for citrus disease-free seedlings, and did a good job in the breeding of citrus disease-free seedlings. Unified breeding and supply of red oranges, standardized production of red oranges from the aspects of seedlings, technology and products, purification and improvement of seedlings, making the produced red oranges smaller or seedless, strengthening the management and quality improvement of orange orchards, and improving the fruit quality of red oranges. From 1998, Lianjiang Red Orange, the "excellent fruit of state banquet", finally washed away the dirt and reappeared its former glory. At present, the planting area of tangerines in the city has reached 68,000 mu, and 35,000 mu has been put into production this year, with an estimated output of 20,000 tons.
In order to polish and protect this brand, our city registered the "Lianjiang Red" trademark for Red Orange, and carefully packaged it to make it openly enter the high-end ranks. In order to improve market awareness, do a good job in market sales, carry out all-round publicity and promotion, and make Red Orange famous. In 200 1 year, Lianjiang Red Orange won the A-class certification of national green food and the excellent product award of China International Agricultural Expo, and was immediately worth a hundred times, which quickly attracted the favor of many merchants. In 2003, "Lianjiang Red" was awarded as a famous trademark and brand-name product in Guangdong Province. That year, it went to Beijing to attend the first China Agricultural Products Fair, which was highly praised by people at home and abroad, and Lianjiang Hongju rose again to glory.
Besides red orange, Lianjiang has successively won the titles of national green food such as Guang Hai Chicken, Huangming Tea, Meizhan Tea, Carambola and Liangguanghong Litchi.
