Aershan City is located in the northwest of Xing 'an League in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, across the southwest foothills of Xing 'an League, and is the political, economic and cultural center of Xing 'an League forest region. Geographical coordinates are11928'-12123' and 46 39'-47 39' north latitude, making it one of the highest cities in China. It is adjacent to Zalantun City and Zhalaite Banner of Xing 'an League under the jurisdiction of Hulunbeier City in the east, Keyouqian Banner of Xing 'an League in the south, Mongolians in the west, and Xinbaerhu Zuo Qi and Ewenki Autonomous Banner of Hulunbeier City in the north. East-west length 142km, north-south length 1 18km, with a total area of 7,408.7km2, and the border between China and Mongolia is 93.434km long.

At the end of 20 12, the city's population was 48,633, consisting of Mongolian, Han, Hui, Manchu, Korean, Daur, Miao, Zhuang, Xibe and other 13 ethnic groups. It is a multi-ethnic area with Mongolian as the main body and Han as the majority.

Moldaoga: Inner Mongolia Moldaoga National Forest Park is the first national forest park in Daxing 'anling, Inner Mongolia approved by the State Forestry Administration, located in Hulunbeier City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Area 148324 hectares, forest coverage rate of 93.3%. The slogan of the park is "Xishuangbanna in the south and Moldoga in the north".
