Milgrad milk consumption positioning
милград(Milgrad) is a milk brand owned by Bryansk, a Russian professional dairy factory. Over the years, it has gained universal recognition and excellent reputation in the Russian market for providing high quality and low price dairy products. In the food structure of fast-moving consumer goods, dairy products account for more than 22%, which is also the largest market for packaging products. In order to better attract consumers to dairy products shelves, expand the geographical restrictions of agency and distribution channels. Bryansk Dairy Factory cooperated with Depot, a brand agency, to reposition Milgrad, a self-owned milk brand, including redesigning the brand trademark, launching more dynamic new packaging, establishing emotional connection with the audience's purpose, and making Milgrad a happy dairy brand. The design team first redesigned the brand logo of Milgrad, which kept the original blue color, but had a more modern and intuitive interpretation in graphics. The ingenious connection between the capital "M" and the cat's head makes it the most memorable visual element. After determining the new logo, when developing product packaging, the designer started with the three major product categories of the brand, and divided the products with different tastes and effects by color in the experiment. For example, light brown represents fermented milk, white represents pure milk, and green represents Kefir fermented milk beverage. In order to strengthen the original brand color relationship between the brand and consumers over the years, the design team drew a series of extremely cute blue cat illustrations, and then applied them to product packaging in a large area. Especially on the shelves, the sequentially arranged milk bags present cat patterns with different movements and shapes, thus creating more shelf display schemes.
