Fuzhou Public Transport Group Co., Ltd. is a large state-owned enterprise with a history of 62 years. After system reform, it was formally established with the approval of Fuzhou Municipal Government in July 2004. It is a municipal key state-owned enterprise supervised by Fuzhou SASAC. According to the Reply on Agreeing to Establish Investment and Financing Platform and Operation Plan of Industrial Group (Rongzi [2008] No.264), the company's main responsibility is to professionally operate public transport lines and industrial groups in the public transport industry with state-owned assets, and to be responsible for the operation and management of state-owned assets in urban public transport, bus passenger transport and related industries and taxi passenger transport.

The logo of the Group is developed with the initials "G" of "Gong", which has become a traffic road map running through the urban area and the outside, with a circular design, expressing the local characteristics of Fuzhou. The whole sign is full of tension and bright colors, which makes passengers pleasing to the eye and adds beauty to the urban environment. It expresses the determination of Fuzhou Public Transport Group to play its due role in "building the economic zone on the west side of the Taiwan Strait and making it a bigger and stronger provincial capital center city".
