Yibin People's Square Sports Park has a planned total area of about 70.26 mu. The main construction contents of this park include stadiums, sports fields, croquet fields, football fields, basketball courts, roads, civil air defense and parking lots, as well as some commercial supporting facilities. It is reported that in order to build this park, the total investment is estimated to be about 540 million yuan. The park will be officially started in February 2020. According to the plan, the park will be completed in July 20021year.

After the completion of Yibin People's Square Sports Park, it will undertake two major functions of sports park and commercial service of sporting goods, which can meet the needs of people in this area in many aspects such as fitness, exercise and entertainment. At present, many parks are facing the problem of parking difficulties, so many parking spaces are planned and built in the design of sports parks. It is reported that there are 952 parking spaces on the ground and underground.
